    Spike... I need a conical

It is pieced together from brewhardware and tri clamped to the 3 way t valve I only trust it for pushing beer because of the compression fitting with a nylon sleeve that attached to the blow off cane would likely slip and higher pressures. I can take the tri clamp off and put it directly...

    Spike Brewing CF10 Conical

You have to chill to get the carb to that level 40 degrees @ 12 psi will get you about 2.5 volumes. It is much cheaper to chill the beer than to build a tank sturdy enough to carbonate at room temperature. Home brew level or professional level

    Spike... I need a conical

LOL if you offered this on your 20g brew pots I would've taken you up on it.

    Spike... I need a conical

Tulsa, OK area. Roughly the same weather. Maintaining ale temps I am not worried about. More concerned about cold crashing and lagers. There would be a sizable condensate puddle under them If I did this without an insulating jacket. I already have a DIY glycol chiller ready for action, but...

    Spike... I need a conical

Honestly you're prob not going to go wrong with either. spike lets you customize as you like has a 2" dump valve and a removable top for easier cleaning ( it honestly goes on quicker than i thought and feels really solid when clamped down) already pressure tested mine and it held 15 for an hour...

    Spike... I need a conical

I did not yet. It does me no good without the neoprene jacket living in the south. Was also curious if they would offer some sort of heater too. I can use some ferm wrap if needed but was looking for something more rugged

Mine showed up yesterday. Here are a few shots in the wild for you

    Spike... I need a conical

This is definitely an interesting proposition. I had never thought of this before ordering and it is another feature. So what would the procedure look like? Ferment normally Cold crash add finings and dump trub (second time) close it up and burst carb with a stone. transfer to purged...

    Spike... I need a conical

They or others can correct me if I am wrong but I took it as 15 PSI working pressure. That would put it in unitank territory. plus they have called it a unitank https://spikebrewing.com/collections/fermenters/products/cf10

    Spike... I need a conical

This for now. I have all the parts to build a glycol chiller too I am just waiting to see what they offer as far a kit for it though

    Spike... I need a conical

So. If anyone missed it the Spike's final pressure rating is 15 psi. So we are in unitank territory. They will release pressure transfer, PRV, and carbonation accessories shortly. Mine will be here tomorrow and will have 11 gallons of mild in it by Friday night.

    Spike Brewing CF10 Conical

Yep, Racking Arm, spray ball, blow off cane. I will consider their fermentation control kit when it is available and I order my second conical later this year. I have built a pressure racking kit that will just attach to the blow off cane with a 3 way t valve. Built a few other accessories...

    Pics or it didn't happen

    Spike... I need a conical

All details have yet to be revealed for this conical, including its final pressure rating, I would wait and see what they offer if anything. Otherwise its fairly simple to rig up a pressure relief in a pressure transfer rig

    12" arbor fab inline filter

The one from brewers hardware is cheaper i believe. Not much though

    Ss Brewtech 1bbl nano brewhouse

But honestly for all tri clamp, hard piped, big ( i assume) vfd motor, custom solution. It sounds reasonable. It looks like it is designed to be a pilot system for breweries. Don't think the home brewer was the main focus here.

    Spike... I need a conical

Agreed. It truly is a great time to be a home brewer with all the options given. My opinion is spike needs to be double quick on a fermentation temp control setup and start offering customization like the do on their kettle. Not sorry I bought my spike though.

    Spike... I need a conical

So.....Interesting development. SS Brewtech just announced release this Sept of a 14 G version on their 1BBL nano conical. If you add up all the accessories and features it looks pretty comparable in cost ($999 with all accessories included). Few more features too.

    Spike... I need a conical

If they are building a nice fitted one eventually for a reasonable price in the future and you want temporary without much cost I would just custom cut some reflectix insulation wrap you can get at lowe's or home depot
