    Spike... I need a conical

As long as you get it on straight and the is no schmutz on the rim. It has never leaked on me. The gasket is pretty robust.

    Spike... I need a conical

+1 for the spike. Bought the CF10 a few months ago. Can't impress upon you how much I love this thing. I am expecting my CF15 any day now. Weld quality is tip top (no undercutting) I didn't go with the Ssbrewtech unitank because I would be paying for accessories I didn't want. My brew house...

    Spike... I need a conical

right there with you. I asked and was told every piece will be available piece meal. If memory serves they said $80-100 for the jacket

Suggestions and options for 2" dump port on new conical

You can reduce the size without interfering with the 2" aversion to clogging with say english strains. I do this when I collect yeast. I put a barb reducer with a length of silicone hose that provides a bottleneck to slow flow down. This I imagine would work well with a trub dump as well...

    Spike... I need a conical

I have the CF10. The CF15 is literally the same just a taller cylinder for the extra capacity

    Spike... I need a conical

The growing pains were the missed launch dates (approximately a year of them if I remember correctly). The conicals themselves are tip top and well thought out. The design doesn't appear or function like it was rushed. Quality is there.

Suggestions and options for 2" dump port on new conical

I don't worry about dumping trub. If you open a 2" butterfly before any kind of sedimentation has occurred you will lose a ton of beer (but this is nearly the same with an 1 1/2" valve). but when I collect my yeast after fermentation and cold crash I get a nice slow moving sludge that I...

    Spike... I need a conical

You may not have seen it but it did say presale. That was the first day. You will get your conical next week (they said 2 week lead for presales)

    Force carb in conical procedure

I would say the racking arm is your problem. The long bottle neck and the pressure are keeping the beer off the stone. Spikes looks like it is as close as they can get it to the valve without it interfering with the valve operation. I bought the racking arm and used it for 5-6 batches. I...

Homebrewdude Review of Spike CF10 Conical

If I am collecting yeast from the bottom dump I just add a 1/2 inch barb reducer to it and add a length of silicone tubing to go into whatever jar i'm collecting in. Works great The jacket, and heater can't come soon enough and I believe they plan on selling everything piecemeal as well as...

    5000W BoilCoil 20 won't go past 209!

I would still say you had a weak connection somewhere. I boil for 15 gallon batches 19-20 gallons preboil sitting on a stainless table with a single 5500 watt element at 70% duty cycle. Full rolling boil

I need help with a 134a recharge on a glycol cooler with a TXV

This is advanced refrigeration. I would honestly be surprised if you got a helpful response. Extremely difficult to troubleshoot remotely. I would imagine a HVAC/R forum would be more helpful.

    NEW Spike CF Series Conical!

Push into a purged keg with a spunding valve set at a few PSI less and it works great

    Spike... I need a conical

It appears they are the same diameter and that the CF15 is just taller (which makes sense from a production cost savings standpoint) So it stands to reason that those volume levels would remain the same. If the cooling coil is long enough I see no reason you couldn't do 5, 10, 15 gallon...

    Spike... I need a conical

Brewershardware.com will sell most if not all of that. If they don't have it brewhardware.com has some cool pieces too.

    Spike... I need a conical

I can't speak for them but if it was me I was going to (if they weren't releasing one) put a carb stone in a triclamp and just put it on the racking arm or bottom dump and open it up. Consequently that is also how I will oxygenate. 2" to 1/2" fpt with a threaded carb stone. clamp to the dump...

    Spike... I need a conical

It appears to be a tongue in cheek light jab at the competition. It was never stated they would do a trade in program just that people have asked. My vote is a joke.

    Spike Brewing CF10 Conical

2 questions. 1. do you plan on offering jacket/coil/heater/controller as a package with a small discount? 2. is the sight glass safe to 15 psi?
