    Natural Gas Burners

I wanted to convert my propane burner stand to natural gas. I found a cheap decent burner here that doesnt show a 12 week shipping, and tejassmokers has the natural gas line with the quick disconnect for my house. what i couldnt find, however, is a regulator of any sort to control the flame...

anyone in southern cali use beergas?

Just trying to find a place in southern cali to get my nitro can filled with beergas. I got local airgas companies but not only do they charge about 8 bucks a pound for just the co2, they argue that beergas doesn't exist and bars only use co2 for dispensing. So yea any reccomendation would be...

    Refermentation in bottle

that is actually a solid point. The reason I ask i am making a dubbel, im going to sit it in the secondary for at least three months and was thinking of pitching yeast along with corn sugar to make sure everything carbs well.

    Refermentation in bottle

I've seen various tidbits, but mostly based on large scale breweries carbonation their beer by using yeast to referment in the bottles. Is there any calculator to convert batch sizes/styles to a yeast pitch cell count? And how the heck could you even control a cell count to pitch in the first place?

Best Brands for Kegerators, and if it's worth it

So i want to get into kegging - which kegerator brands are on top as far as reliability? and also, is it better to buy one or just make my own, i have zero experience with kegging so wasnt sure if it would be better to just get something that is prefit per say for fast and easy keg hook up.

Anyone ever had a bag of bad caps?

just standard crowns not the oxygen absorbing ones

Anyone ever had a bag of bad caps?

they are dissolved, and it's been 2.5 weeks - even if its not PERFECTLY carbed, there should be a huge evidence of carbination, not beer that looks like it belongs in a bottling bucket.

Anyone ever had a bag of bad caps?

Just wondering if anyone out there has had a bag of bad bottling caps - after 3 weeks at 71 degrees in my closet my irish red clone looks like cranberry juice with the same ammount of carb to boot. i used cooper's tabs (yes the right ammount) and literally it looks like it just came from the...

    Excess yeast buildup in bottles

I know on my tripel I had leftover yeast, and the pictures i posted on here and people agreed - once they carbed i opened one and found (and tasted) it. i did, on that one however, do a bad transfer, so maybe you're right and its grain junk. I have an extract batch going now so ill see how that...

    Excess yeast buildup in bottles

I am never impatiant when fermenting: Usually 1 week primary 3 secondary, 3 weeks bottle carb 2 weeks conditions. But of course, it varies - the tripel that had this problem was 2 weeks primary 2 months secondary or so. Killian's clone was 1week prim/2-3 secondary.

    Excess yeast buildup in bottles

So here's my story; I started off a couple years ago by recieving a mr.beer kit, as i did more and more advanced (well to me anyway) ways of brewing i eventually went right from mr.beer to all-grain brewing. However, in every all-grain batch, roughly 4 or 5 now i have noticed a HUGE buildup of...

Your opinions on some pics i took

3 months primary 2 1/2 months secondary. i actually opened a glass of it tonight, and it tasted amazing, and iwth only a week in carb and one day in fridge of course it wasnt ready, but color and taste were there. hoping the banana aroma from the yeast strain i got will settle

Your opinions on some pics i took

Boil should be fine; always got a nice rolling boil and do it for the exact ammount of time, if not a little bit more, and use a immersion chiller to try to get the cold break done quickly.

Your opinions on some pics i took

Always store upright. lol and TY on the pics comment :P is it something to do with overpitching? doubtful - i only use one white labs vial per patch. (i only do 2g batches for the record) i admit i dont have an autosiphon yet, so the last couple of batches when i transferred to my bottling...
