    San Diego Area Breweries/Brewpubs

Yeah most of the big guys as of now, but definitely open to some suggestions. We get plenty of Stone beers in Indiana so there's not a huge need to go to their brewery. In terms of location, we are staying near La Jolla.

    San Diego Area Breweries/Brewpubs

Heading to San Diego in a few weeks. What are some breweries and brew pubs you'd recommend? On my list were Stone, Alesmith, Ballast Point, Port/Lost Abbey and Green Flash. Open to recommendations or if some of the ones I listed aren't worth going to. Thanks!

    Lambic fermenter question

Looking to do 2.5 gallon batches of lambic in the winter when I can't brew outside anymore. Ideally I'd like to have a fermenter with a spigot as I plan on sampling and will eventually blend these lambics for a gueuze. Anyone use either the brew demon 3 gallon mini conical or the PET Plastic...

    Induction Cooktops

Has anyone used two induction burners on the same outlet? I may purchase two max burton induction burners (1800 w) to use in my garage during cooler months, but didnt know if this would be too many amps.

    Aged hops

My plan is to actually make 3 beers with the ultimate goal being a gueuze in 3 years. Probably keep it small (3 1-gallon batches a year) and just build up an inventory that I'll be able to make a gueuze every year, but yes, I plan in doing something different for some of the extras in year 1...

    Aged hops

Sorry for the elementary question, but I'm Going to start making lambics in 6-8 months and realized I should start aging my hops. Does it matter what type of hops you use? Using the recipe from Brewing Classic Styles and he does not give any indication on a type. I'm assuming after they've aged...

Can you dry hop in the keg instead of the fermenter to save time?

That works...listened to an old episode of brew strong and they recommended not keeping hops in contact the whole time, but you're covered from your plan then
