    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

I've a new one, 4 batches so far. The 2 brackets work fine and are worth the little they charge for them, highly suggest. I have my efficiency at 68%, so far and hit it right on. I'm using the 10.5 and use 240v. I've a wooden paddle and stir the mash pretty often, used full volume, no sparge...

Yeah, the angled tube caught a foot, surprised you couldn't rotate basket.

Grainfather s40 to 3 prong dryer outlet.

It COMES with an ungrounded plug. two lines and the neutral. Just make up a short cord for adapter. ZERO issues, unlike the totally ignorant hack suggested for the Anvil foundry to use a 120 female plug to 220 male for the dryer or other 220 outlet(as it comes wired for 120v only.) some...

Could I re-hydrate and store an opened pack of S-04 yeast?

Why ask? 1 gallon? go for it. If decently close to expiration date, day 6 months, nonissue

The "I'd nevervdrink that if it were ALL that was available" thread

Anything a local brewery makes. Core brewing. They opened up about 6 locations by 2019, but closed early 2020 all but original location as they just couldn't brew to style. Any lager, 75 ibus, porter or stout, 150ibu. IPA, must have been in the 60s or more. I like hops, but not twice to 3...

Scaling up Fremont Brewing's barrel aged Dark Star Oatmeal Stout recipe - increase just base malt or proportional ?

Your initial stated result is incorrect. You are NOT cloning a recipe if you are shooting for 2 or 3% more alcohol. A clone by definition is the same. You are just making a new beer. And results will depend on your brewing technique and your best guess as to what you think is equal to your...

    Rolling Brew Cabinet, Anyone?

I have my Anvil, pump, on a cart I made from scrap and 4 casters. I had some polyester resin left over and I put a thick coat on the top to waterproof it. Added a 1 inch rim to hold any small spills. I have room to put the fermenter on it also. Rest of the supplies are in one location except...

    Keggle bottom draining tri-clamp

Easy fix, get a 4 inch grinder and grind off a 32nd or so across the top. Keep grinding till it fits. One other thought, is that are the kegs square at the bottom of the connector where the clamp hits? if so, you might try grinding an angle around the while diameter. The fittings are all...

Grainfather s40 to 3 prong dryer outlet.

It's a very common thought that it is needed when you are dealing with things like 240v wiring. I didn't meant come off harsh either. But wanted to insure the OP doesn't go out and spend $50 or more on a breaker and even possibly getting an electrician out when not needed. But you all be...

Grainfather s40 to 3 prong dryer outlet.

You do not need to change a breaker. That is idiocy. You plug a 1 amp lamp into an outlet that is 15 or 20 amp rated every day. As long you don't plug a 30 amp appliance into a 20 amp breaker you are ok.

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

I just did 4th batch with mine. I leave mine at around 6 and move most of the batch to my fermenter. I bought an anvil conical, so I can dump out of the fermenter. I DO use a hop spider that I bought off amazon for cheap. It is great for capturing ALL of the hops. It takes a good 5 minutes...

Komos Kegerator Bites The Dust at 14 months

appliances shouldn't break "often" You should get a decade or more out of a fridge. I've a tech fridge ( no freezer section) that is my bottled, canned and yeast fridge that was purchased in 2007, and pretty much has run its whole life except during moves. My kegerator fridge is an 01 model...

No, enough fans here to outweigh the negatives. They are cheap, but I have issue with their website listing free shipping on a page where you can't get free ahipping on that product. But nothing, including shipping is free. Sorry to hijack.

Strip it down. You have a tower and some other parts that can be used elsewhere. Oh, and I hope you can get rid if it without paying fee for refrigerant
