Fire Ant Ale | Habanero Tincture

Thanks! The story behind it was that another Youtuber and I where talking about doing something together for a colab. I went to light the pit for some steaks while on the phone, next thing I knew my feet and legs were on fire... The rest is history.

Fire Ant Ale | Habanero Tincture

Playing with the idea if I could bring the essence of Fire Ants in to a brew one day while being attacked by them because I was just standing in my back yard... It was time to gather some experiences and theories, wrap them together and see what happens! *No real ants were used in the making...

Grain to glass in 3 days!

I have had a few Kveik brews get done pretty darn fast even with bottle conditioning. I brewed a Raw Ale with Voss Kveik that was fully carbed at one week. The first time I brewed it, it did stall out for some reason so fermentation took three weeks. But from my experience with Kveik if you...

    What are you drinking now?

Raw Ale v3.0. I played with some left over hops for the hop tea. This thing has kind of settled to be something semi decent. I prefer 2.0 personally, but that's why we home brew!

Warm Ferment and Kettle Souring Equipment | Kveik Heated Fementation and Lactobacillus Souring Setup

I put together a few things to make a good way to ferment warm with Kveik and use the same system to keep the wort warm for Kettle Souring. Its worked well and time to share this little project that turned out to not only work well but was easy and cheap!

    No-Chill Brewing?

I No Chill nearly every brew.... I didn't the last two, I had a hop stand that I needed to do on one so I went a head and chilled it the rest of the way. The very last brew it was late on a Sunday, I didn't want to have to run home for lunch to pitch yeast due to work being very busy lately.

What was your first beer… ever?

Miller Lite. 14 with my stepfather. I was helping hang drywall and a few other home repairs for that day. We started at 7 am and didn't stop until about 8 that night. He told me that you work like a man, you can drink like a man. I have never since had another Miller.

My First Competition: Results, Disappointments, Improvements

That is a score to be proud of! So as far as judging goes... Same batch of beer a Berliner of mine scored a 27 first competition this year, a 38 the next, and a 44 the one after that, the bronze medal for that category won at a 45. Where does my beer really fall? To me that brew is/ was perfect...
