    Metallic taste from Intertap

    1. Starsan is not a cleaner, so probably some leftover manufacturing residues 2. excess foaming is due to the lines and tap warming, as well as too short of lines. I switched over to flow control intertaps in the hopes of running short lines, but it didn't work. I still had to run 10'-12' lines...

    Tilt Bluetooth Hydrometer Detailed Review

I bought one, used it on one batch and immediately bought another! I use them in SS BrewBuckets in a mini fridge, and don't have any problems picking up the signal, but my tablet is only a couple feet away. I use an Amazon Fire tablet that I picked up at Xmas time for $30.

    Buy once cry once thoughts

Absolutely go tri clad! Will help prevent scorching now using the burner, and possibly the future depending on what type of electric(induction). Normally I would say absolutely, buy once cry once, but one thing to think about-will you still want the same setup 3 years(maybe more?) from now...

    Trick to using beer gun?

There's 2 sizes of Domino sugar cubes-make sure you are using the Domino Dots, which are smaller. Each dot is 2.29g of sugar. The larger ones are double that and will overcarbonate your beer. These are the ones you...

    Sovereign Stainless Fermentor????

Saw one in the store the other day. Biggest problem is the hole in the lid is just a hole with sharp edges. Their rubber stopper was already all cut up. The 1st generation brew buckets had the same issue, until they changed to a dimpled hole. It has a flat bottom, but I didn't check to see if...

    Amoretti Purees

I got some samples at HomebrewCon. I used Blood Orange in a Saison. I just added a squirt from the included pump to a glass. It's very Blood Orangey! Definately start with less than a squirt! The quality and flavor are good.

Kettle recommendation- tall and skinny NOT short and wide. 5-6 gallon, for induction

Nope, but it still works. I'm using it on an Advantco 3500w 240v induction plate. My bottom got warped a little when I put in on without any water, but it still works fine. The non-clad bottom can be prone to scorching, especially with lots of wheat or rye, but that can be mitigated. A...

    PicoBrew Pico users

So you think the end user should have to research how to use a product from various 3rd party resources rather than have the manufacturer provide complete and detailed instructions? I think Don tried to take the approach of trying the system as a complete newbie would, which just reinforced...
