Bottles smell after sterilizing in oven

Thanks for the replies. I won't use starsan prior to baking again. The smell stayed with me for several hours. Probably will just use starsan and then dry. For those curious, we started at 200 degrees for 10 minutes, then up to 285 for 10 minutes, then 350 for 60 minutes. Cooled overnight.

What happened? Totally curious as we just did our first batch and have the same issue upon bottling. Hoping we don't have our first batch ruined in 2 weeks.

First batch - did we ruin it?

We have bubbles!! Thanks for all the replies. We needed the reassurance! Temp got up to 70 degrees. After close inspection, my man decided to reset the plug in the lid. He thought it was not snug enough (rough cut in the lid caused plug to need a firm sitting). After resetting the plug and...

First batch - did we ruin it?

After owning a 1995 Costco kit for home brewing and my husband and I attempted to make Scottish Ale this weekend. And, now I don't know if we ruined our first batch. Here's what happened: 6:00pm Got all the way to cooling wort down to 70 degrees Fahrenheit and then aerated in the fermenting...
