    Good job. Looks great.

Am I brewing hard cider, and is it safe to drink.

Not from yeast. Blindness, at least in this context, is from methanol. Not a problem at the level from brewing, but if you do a bad job distilling and concentrate it you could go blind from that.... That's why in distilling it is important to watch temperatures and discard the heads and...

    Cider Sugar Addition Question...

Hey All, So my plan is to use 4 gallons of cider and ferment with S-04. The Brix of the Cider is 10.5 (it was colder, but my refractometer is ATC) or about S.G. of 1.041. If I wanted to get it up to 1.060 S.G. for my O.G. how much sugar should I add? I am planning to bring it up to 1.060...

Brand New Perlick D Keg Coupler

Sanke w/ a Type D. Sanke's don't have one style of connector. It depends a lot on the brewery. Type D is a vast majority of US brands. A basic list is http://thebeerdeliveryguy.com/couplers.html -Eric

Can you make 2.5 gallons of soda in 5 g. keg?

Well... we can actually figure it out exactly... but it is almost pointless.... since ultimately you will use exactly the same volume once the liquid is dispensed. Let me explain... Assuming the seltzer is already at equilibrium... you have a keg "A" with 5 gallons of seltzer so about 0...

    corny at 110psi (seltzer)

What is wrong with an ice bank?... that is what actual soda fountains use. With a large enough bank your flow is nearly limitless (within any reasonable usage).

To Regulate H2O or Not is the Question(Motorized Carbonator)

I would get one... the carbonators water pressure shouldn't be that high for the incoming line.

    Flojet N5000-192 Beverage Pumps

Basically they are syrup pumps... you could re-task them, but their original intended purpose is to push syrup for BIAB (Bag in a Box) soda fountains. I would get one if I had the money now.... but they would be good for anyone looking to add some Coke or something to their kegerator.

    corny at 110psi (seltzer)

I agree in theory... but in practice they should also be inspected and tested regularly. Metal does fatigue and wear over time when it is under stress. This is why CO2 tanks have dates on them...

Can you make 2.5 gallons of soda in 5 g. keg?

+1. As stated you will use more CO2. Basically the way it works is you have two volumes, the liquid and the headspace at some pressure (say 30 PSI). The physics here can basically be done using the Ideal Gas Law which says PV=nRT (P = Pressure, V = Volume, n = # of Moles of Gas, R = Constant...

To Regulate H2O or Not is the Question(Motorized Carbonator)

Yes. You want to limit the pressure going into the carbonator.

Why would my regular Beer Faucets cause Soda to be toxic

Sorry, I wasn't entirely clear. Yes... the chrome isn't as good as the stainless. Over time the chrome plating will be removed leaving exposed brass which won't hold up well at all. The purpose of the plating is to protect the brass, but it isn't as good long term as stainless...

Why would my regular Beer Faucets cause Soda to be toxic

The copper generally wouldn't be an issue for a homebrewer. The reason they list it on the carbonators is because they are usually plumbed (since you need a water supply). They don't want you plumbing the soda out line with copper pipe (I am assuming it has happened from the warning), but most...

    Sprecher

+1... won't work well. Basically when you mix the soda you will loose a ton of carbonation. What happens is the addition of the sugar will cause nucleation and thus the gas to come out more easily from the seltzer.... Then leaving it at 10 PSI will also allow it over time to come to...

Why would my regular Beer Faucets cause Soda to be toxic

I use all stainless. Most soda fountains are a mix of stainless and plastic. The chrome plating shouldn't really be a problem, but the brass under it would be (as far as I know). Other metals like copper are also not good for carbonated water... the instructions on the carbonator I have said...

    cloudy/flat seltzer (using motorized carbonator)

#5238K615 ... and for the Shank end... you can get a MFL Tailpiece and then use a MFL on that end also.... http://www.midwestsupplies.com/1-4-stainless-mfl-tail-piece.html ... Don't forget though, on the tailpiece end you need a MFL washer, but you don't on the disconnect side (disconnect has it...

    cloudy/flat seltzer (using motorized carbonator)

No to the ball lock... I used a MFL Ball Lock and 1/8" Barb to FFL Swivel Nuts. Not sure how I would describe them... soda like? Pretty small.

    cloudy/flat seltzer (using motorized carbonator)

Yes... the seltzer will be at 100 PSI. I generally run mine at 80 PSI. As far as the relief valve... it should be up at 120PSI or so. I replaced mine and made sure there were absolutely no leaks. These are designed for soda fountains and not beer. Personally I used 1/8" braided line to...
