    Carbonator Installed.

I replaced it with a bolt. ... as for the needle valve... I just read my original post. That was my first idea before I got the 1/8" line.... Didn't work out well... the pressure differential across the valve caused massive gassing out.

    Carbonator Installed.

I don't use a needle valve. As for part numbers I don't really have them off hand and like I stated above there is a risk with the way I am doing it because I disable the safety valve. For my soda I started with 15 feet and then cut it off by a foot at a time until I dialed it in. I wound up...

    Carbonator Installed.

I'm at between 80 and 90 PSI per the carbonator instructions. As for the keg... It isn't a needle valve, I literally replaced the valve with a stainless steel bolt. I won't actually recommend this because I disabled the safety mechanism, but I was personally alright with it because the...

    Blichmann Engineering Burner Rusting...

I just wanted to make sure it won't affect the life of the burner.

    Blichmann Engineering Burner Rusting...

Stripping is the annoying part. I don't really feel like sand blasting it. I was wondering if I could just paint over it... or if there is a better way to strip it.

    Blichmann Engineering Burner Rusting...

Hey All, The cast iron burner on my Blichmann Engineering Burner is rusting a little bit. I was wondering if I should do anything or just ignore it. I was considering some high temperature paint, but wasn't sure. Thoughts? -Eric

    Soda siphon without disposable cartridges

Not sure if it will work, but I'd be interested in seeing the pictures when its done.

    Soda siphon without disposable cartridges

I have actually been looking at this too since I was also interested in an actual soda siphon. I pretty much came to the conclusion that you would have to modify a cartridge and the cartridge holder to be able to do it. The way I have seen discussed was basically drilling and tapping an...

    Another soda water question

I use 90 PSI into a carbonator. The carbonator is connected to a charcoal filter, and then into the Gas in post of a keg which is in the fridge. The liquid out line goes to my tap through a micromatic adjustable flow restrictor on a perlick faucet. I can give you more details at some point...

    Making Sparkling Water

Should be. I have a keg for soda, but my seltzer keg stays clean to avoid any off flavors, etc... all seltzer all the time.

    Misc Draft Equip

I may be interested in those smaller tap handles... can you tell me what kind of wood they are?

Making my own home CO2 carbonation system

I don't know what he does, but for the carbonator cap your supposed to carbonate with the special cap and then switch back.

    Making Sparkling Water

I actually have a carbonator dump into a keg in the fridge... cold seltzer on tap.... wife loves it.

Making my own home CO2 carbonation system

I originally did that.... then I started using kegs... now I have an actual carbonator. It's really easy and much cheaper than the sodastream.

    Relays vs. SSR's

No problem. Seems like a good way to go...

    Relays vs. SSR's

I'd tend to agree. Really there are two major differences between SSRs and Relays that are relevant. 1) SSRs can cycle more often than Relays 2) SSRs don't actually shut off, where Relays do. So... the way I see it if your ok with a little loss of temperature control a Relay would work...

    Portable Keg Faucet for dispensing?

No problem. :-) ... The only downside with the Perl is that it isn't all stainless... the micromatic inline one is. I have one on my seltzer tap, but was thinking about doing the faucet adapter, micromatic flow control and a stainless perl for portable keg dispensing.

    Portable Keg Faucet for dispensing?

You could use one of the new Perls with the flow control... or use the micromatic inline flow control. I was toying with getting the same thing at some point. Let me know if you want URLs and I can show you what I'm talking about.
