Intelligence and artisticness don't usually go hand in hand, I'm not super smart but I'm great at using brewing as the art. They make clear rubber corks and with my blackberry mead the red of the mead would hide it pretty well

    Premium Bottle Option

haha, Yeah, I love his website. Its kind of pointless, but its pretty cool because essentially the whole bottle is one surface like a mobius strip.

I found the coolest bottle for product photography and maybe a decent centerpiece. Its called a Klein Bottle, you fill it and soft cork it on the bottom, Makes my brain hurt a bit.

    Sinking Fruit

awesome! will also allow the use of Tilt! Maybe look a little better too because the fruit will be hidden untill it clears

    Sinking Fruit

I want to start using a tilt hydrometer but I use fruit in my mead, Would I be able to use a mesh bag with the fruit in it with some glass marbles to sink it to the bottom and have it work? I think that the fruit completely submerged would be better instead of having 1/3 the fruit out of the...

    Profit Estimate Guideline Spreadsheet

In Oregon you can have your meadery at home if your house is located in an industrial / residential district. That does not apply to me, but I found a room with a loft for about 400 per month that wouldnt be a bad place. It would be capable of around 350 gallons per month

    Profit Estimate Guideline Spreadsheet

Let me change that, I forgot its set to read only as default. All the bright green areas are things you can change and mess around with to change the profit margins Can edit now: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zd_rtScwhOlqIRYUqIpfWqLOd6ChiZ-VQpjk6ArQKBM/edit?usp=sharing

Is it possible to make low ABV, carbonated, sweet melomel/hydromel?

[Google] Add 1/2 teaspoon of potassium sorbate per gallon of mead and stir to halt fermentation. Potassium sorbate does not kill yeast but prevents them from converting any more sugars into carbon dioxide and alcohol. While Potassium Sorbate is a chemical, it's widely used for food and brewing...

    My Mead Spreadsheet

I dont know, I use it but I also have a few friends that use the same version of the sheet and they use Brix

    My Mead Spreadsheet

Its just one of my little practices, as soon as it settles I read whatever scale is up front without messing with it. Not sure if it really matters but Ive been doing it that way for the last 8ish years.

    My Mead Spreadsheet

Yeah it has both brix and SG, mostly because I spin the hydrometer to get the bubbless off of it, so wheichever side is facing me Ill use and convert if needed.

    Premium Bottle Option

I had the 750ml option but I wanted the premium to be in higher demand by not selling as much of it

    Premium Bottle Option

I make a lot of mead, I do my best with each one but I usually take the top, super clear, mead and make 1 or 2 premium bottles and then take everything else and bottle that as standard. Im thinking about using this bottle and then use a wax to seal it off. Its got a half cork half wood cap that...
