    OXY CLEAN residue

I should have filled them with regular water, and poured the oxy clean around it. They kept flouting so I just dunked them.

    OXY CLEAN residue

Do I need to do anything special to remove any residue from the oxy clean that is in my bottles? Thought about soaking them in water, then a high temp wash in the dishwasher (no soap of course)

    In carboy cooler.

Pricey... But I like the idea of compact space, and being able to hit a target temperature for each brew.

    In carboy cooler.

As anyone used one of the plug in fermenter coolers? If you haven't seen it, it is a cooling bar attached to a thermostat that fits in the neck of a carboy and cools the wort from the inside. looks like a great idea if you dont have space for a BEER frig for the garage...... Discuss

I know what you mean, I just do all of them at the same time. Tough to decide which one to do when I get free time.

Find a beer your wife likes. Tell her you can brew it cheaper. But you would to bring it inside. You can't smell it.

That looks a little out of my league. Still doing extract. Sounds awesome though.

    Second batch?

The one I have in primary is a brown ale. I want to try something like a chimay, or duvel. Not sure if they are more difficult though.

No, I checked out the HUGE job site cooler home depot has. The bucket will fit, airlock is always the problem. Plus I doesn't leave any room for anything but water. Right now I just have a Rubbermaid

    Second batch?

While I wait on my first batch. I'm starting to compile my equipment list for my next batch. Going to buy a frig for the garage and build a immersion cooler or buy a plate chiller. ( haven't decided yet) I'm trying to decide what to buy for my next recipe kit. I don't want to jump to far ahead...

it just seems weird that it would be done so soon. But I still have a lot to learn. is there a way to find out if it is messed up now? Or could I pitch more yeast... Just thinking out loud.

Bad yeast? I cleaned out the airlock a couple hours ago. I haven't seen anymore activity (bubbles) since then. I pitched around 6pm yesterday.
