Use Johnson Controls A419 on 4912 Kegerator?

This is what I have done and everytime I check on it, its sitting at 39-40F - nice! I did turn the anti-short cycle delay up to 10 or 12 minutes too. I doubt it will rise from 39F to 41F in 12 mins anyway, so it should stay off, more than on once I reach the 39F, and if I keep from opening...

    Johnson A419 Digital Thermostat Settings

I am using mine on a fridge (that insists on getting to 30F when turned up enough but not getting below 45 when turned down). However, my settings are: 40F set point 1 dif 10 minute anti-short cycle Second the 1 dif - the larger the dif, the larger your "range" of temps will be. With a 1...

    Sanyo Kegerator

I thought about running a circulation fan power wire out that drain hole before, as well as doing the same thing you are thinking with the gas line. Alas, I never tried it. I'm not sure there would be much drawback? I am thinking about getting a bigger C02 tank and running it from outside...

Is a frozen corny keg automatically ruined?

Mine just barely froze, for what its worth. It was more like beer slushy in the keg and frozen beer in the line. I would think you would have had to have a pretty darn full keg and a pretty hard freeze to deform the keg, but heck I have no clue!

    Keezer Disaster

Ouch - second case of lost beer (4-5g) I have read in the last 5 minutes. Sorry to hear it man...

Is a frozen corny keg automatically ruined?

I froze a keg before and it seems fine to me now... I even thawed it out and drank some of the beer for a while. LOL. Not sure why a stainless steel corny wouldn't seal anymore after freezing? The seals are mostly rubber O-rings and you can replace those pretty easily. Also, freezing should...

Use Johnson Controls A419 on 4912 Kegerator?

Well thats one vote of confidence. Thanks for the reply! Anyone else have thoughts or first hand experience? I checked on it today and it was sitting at 39F on the temp guage on the JC controller. I had it programmed to 40F, but guessing it can get to 39F without switching off due to the...

    Keezer Gas Line Protocol

As long as you have no leaks, it won't hurt to leave the gas on at all times... In fact, if you turn it off, you could actually lose some carbonation level if it sits an extended period of time? I set mine to 12psi, around 40F, and just leave it... I understand your concern though, as I...

Use Johnson Controls A419 on 4912 Kegerator?

Also - if it is OK, what should I set my "dif" setting at. I set it to 1F to keep it as close to 40 as I can get it. As I understand it, this will determine when the controller cycles on and off? If I set the temp setting to 40, dif to 5, it won't turn back on until 45F after turning off? With...

Can a regulator/guage freeze causing it to read low/none? Or am I really out of gas..

Trying to dial in setting on fridge to get desired temp. Found my beer around 32F again today - and of course - this guage read in the red again. LOL. So, it is temp dependent... Anyway, trying to use a temp controller to maybe dial it in and hold it steady - if you can help with that (JC...

Use Johnson Controls A419 on 4912 Kegerator?

Ok, so I bought a Johnson Controls (JC) A419 temp controller (single stage) for a chest freezer I have, for lagering. Well, I am not into too much lagering right now, so the freezer and controller are not in use. I am however getting back into brewing ales and I have some on tap now, as well...

Can a regulator/guage freeze causing it to read low/none? Or am I really out of gas..

Yooper- Thanks for the response! Glad to see I am not the only one recognizing this. It's sitting at 550, just out of the redzone. Definitely still gas in there, both kegs set at 12psi, just tapped one now and its carbed and good... I guess I will worry about it when it hits 0 psi LOL I...

Can a regulator/guage freeze causing it to read low/none? Or am I really out of gas..

Ok so this is odd. Turned the temp down a bit before work today. Get home, its up from 32 -> 40F in the fridge. Now the pressure guage (tank pressure) reads above the red, near 600 (a little below though and the bottle does feel lighter than full but who knows). But it was clearly in the red...

    Clean Perlick 525 in Place?

I just rehabbed my kegerator and took my faucets off to clean them (perlicks). It's really not that hard once you have the right tool to remove the shank nut (I made a custom 1" wrench with dreme to grab the nut enough to loosen and get them off my tower). I soaked mine in very hot water...

Can a regulator/guage freeze causing it to read low/none? Or am I really out of gas..

Dwain - I am certain I had it filled when I stopped using it. That is why I stopped, LOL. Then I stopped brewing and pipeline was pretty low/dry, so I just never hooked it back up, but since i intended to, I know I had it filled. As far as it having gas, I know it has some. I pulled the...

Can a regulator/guage freeze causing it to read low/none? Or am I really out of gas..

So, I just put two kegs on tap - one commercial with a sankey (sixtel) and one homebrew if it matters - two evenings ago. This is the first time I am using the kegerator in 9-12 months, but I do remember getting a new tank of gas right near the end of its prior usage. Also when I first hooked it...

    Kicked again!

Well, my problem is I have been out of brewing a bit - but getting back in with 2 full recipes of ingredients to go any day now. In the meantime I picked up a perlick low profile sankey tap and grabbed a 1/6 keg of troegs hopback from the distributor for $49.99 (not bad actually) and threw...
