    Hello, my name is McKBrew

Understand the JEEP obsession thing bud... love the JK. Spend my fair share of time on Jeepforum and Jk-Forum. Where are you going offroading this weekend? I need to get back to brewing soon too... and definitely plan to. Ordered some ingredients from Brewmaster...

King Arthurs Steakhouse and Brew Pub Oswego, NY - Any good?!

I'll be staying in Oswego NY tomorrow night - Sunday and doing some Salmon fishing in Pulaski. As always, ran a search for breweries near the place and only thing that came up other than the Syracuse pubs (did a tour of all of those before) which are 30 miles south was this King Arthur's place...

    RRBC Amarillo Pale Ale

Yeah, that sounds great man. Go with the 1.5-2kg of extract (probably not a huge difference at all) and let me know how it turns out... I've subscribed and will look for updates. :)

    RRBC Amarillo Pale Ale

Sounds like a plan, chief. I mean, it's your beer so if you want to go higher gravity, go for it... That's just not how I intended it when I brewed it, so thought I'd throw out the suggestion. It's very balanced as is (1.052 and 30IBU), so going higher on the malt/gravity just makes it a...

    RRBC Amarillo Pale Ale

Oh yeah, forgot to mention - I'd use the Notty and try to keep the ferment mid-60s. You want as clean a ferment as possible... Definitely let me know how the partial mash version turns out.

    RRBC Amarillo Pale Ale

Thanks for giving the recipe a try! I really enjoy this one... I would suggest maybe considering bringing the gravity back down to 1.052ish as opposed to 1.062ish though. It is really not bitter at all even at 1.052 with 30-31 IBU. Cascase and Amarillo are both pretty "smooth" hops... I think...

    Amarillo Pale Ale

I'd use the Nottingham... I would also try to bring the gravity down to around 1.050-1.052 and keep the 30ish IBU. That's how it was meant to be enjoyed. :) It's still not bitter with that IBU/Gravity ratio b/c the Cascade I use as the bittering hop (60min) is obviously a pretty smooth hop...

    Lets talk tower coolers

Don't want to worry about getting that fan to work and wasting the electricity of running it all the time? https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/pvc-tower-cooling-solution-43072/

    How to "recondition" my kegerator/kegs?

"Chunkage" in the airlines? What would that be? Isn't the only thing that has been in those lines CO2?! How would I see "chunkage" considering my lines are red and not clear?

    How to "recondition" my kegerator/kegs?

Good news is I will have an extra refrigerator b/c we are getting a new one and there is an older one, but working fine, in the home. I *might* make it into a kegerator, but at this point am just thinking I might use it for my supplies and a lagerator! We'll see! How would I go about sanitizing...

    How to "recondition" my kegerator/kegs?

I was guessing that would be the solution... I will place an order for 20ft of new line. At 50c a foot, I guess its not worth risking trying to clean what I have already! Shame I only ever ran 4 kegs through it before!! Also definitely NOT looking forward to try to get it on the shanks in the...

    How to "recondition" my kegerator/kegs?

So, I did something kind of silly. I built a 4912 kegerator for 2 cornies, tricked it all out with perlicks, etc. and then ran only 4 kegs of beer through it or so. Then my 5g CO2 ran out, I never got it filled, and went on hiatus for a year... Well, that's not the silliest part - leaving 2...

Another wheeling trip... Rausch creek PA - tons of pics

LOL - isnt that the truth... I mean on a green - blue - black - red scale these were mainly green-blue and blue-black, so nothing too crazy, but still there were some really hairy spots that you would never have guessed from pictures. Also - I think the reason that happens is that the real...

Another wheeling trip... Rausch creek PA - tons of pics

Whenever you want to go man - let me know. It's about 30 miles from where I live now and about 45 miles from where I will live after October 9th (bought new house). I'm always up for it, especially with fellow brewers. I know the guy in the FJ was trying to plan another trip for November if...

Another wheeling trip... Rausch creek PA - tons of pics

After I had aired up for the day, put back on the sways, etc. the FJ wanted to mess in the comp course some more and convinced me to try this climb and descent rock. A few scratched skids, but I made it without much issue - not bad for no lockers, only 1" lift, and only 32" tires (at 35psi none...

One more of O-trail group: FJ tried a hole a little too deep: And got swamped - he loved every minute of it though, real cool guy and really put a beating on that FJ. Pretty impressive: FJ in comp course: More to come...

Another wheeling trip... Rausch creek PA - tons of pics

Later in the day on blue trail 23 - the trail was challenging but doable in stock rubicon (just with a lot of damage to skids, etc). We had one stuck on this trail, but it was definitely a fun trail... Believe this is group leading down into 23 on onto 23: And the mud...

TJ crawling out of the Lake area - hill was rated black hill climb (pretty tough) even though you can't see the terrain or boulders that well in the pic: Here's the rear vantage of the climb, still not doing it justice: Couple other random pics of this TJ: More to come...

Another wheeling trip... Rausch creek PA - tons of pics

Well, I took the JK (redrock one in the pics) on another trip to Rausch Creek ORV Park in Tremont, PA last weekend. I met up with a couple of friends (one with an FJ, one with a TJ on 35s) and we picked up a bunch of stragglers also using the Rausch forums. We ended up with a pretty diverse...
