Burner too good to be true????

Yeah, I have a little difficulty understanding how they're advertising that particular burner at 170,000 btu's. I have two and can't see them even getting close to that.

Burner too good to be true????

That's the burner that most people start using. It comes standard with most store bought turkey fryers. They work and they keep working. The downside for some is that they are fairly loud and can be ineffecient.

    15.5 Gallon Homebrew Kegs

tnlandsailor, I tried your link but keep getting redirected to beer100.com and don't see anything about those kegs you were talking about.

Opinions needed for brew sculpture burners

Do what he said. Down the line if you want to automate, you'll have to think about pressures. The high pressure solenoid valves can get really pricey. This thread has some good info on the automation stuff. The valve in that thread is a good price in comparison to some of the others but has...

Opinions needed for brew sculpture burners

Mainly to high pressure BG14's. I don't know what you would need three going at once for either unless you were doing a double brewday. Depending on the outside air temperature two of the BG14's running at full blast could freeze up a tank. Will you ever have even two of them up at full...

Looking for a used keg for brew kettle

It's an ongoing debate about the ethics behind aquiring sankes for brew kettles. You'll be hard pressed to find pics of brew rigs on here that use anything other than "repurposed" kegs. All the high and mighties are just upset that they paid 10 times what you did. I suspect this thread...

Opinions needed for brew sculpture burners

Three high pressure banjos running at the same time off of one tank stands a high chance of freezing up the tank and regulator.

Opinions needed for brew sculpture burners

If you are running all the same type of burners (all low pressure or all high pressure) then you should only need one regulator for your whole set up. Plumb all of your propane off of one line and have the regulator at the tank. You can control gas flow at each burner with a ball valve or a...

    Plate Chiller: I'm in love!

Check out this. They looked to have pretty decent prices on several different types.

Opinions needed for brew sculpture burners

If you keep the 6" burners high pressure, then they should be ok. They take about the same amount of time to bring wort to a boil as the standard turkey fryer burners. Brewed with a buddy with those same burners but were converted to low pressure for an automated system run with the honeywell...

    110 to 220 in a box... eh????

On the FAQ section of the page you linked to in the first post, it explains that the unit won't work unless you use two outlets that are out of phase. It indicates that with an amber light on the unit. It also says to use an extension cord if necessary.

Where's the current best price on Perlick 525ss faucets?

My experience with most vendors is that they won't match Amazon prices or Ebay store prices for some reason.

Where's the current best price on Perlick 525ss faucets?

kegconnection.com seemed to be the lowest I've found. I need six so I keep putting it off. Six Perlicks plus shanks is going to be a pretty good hit. I could buy slowly but that's not how I roll...all or nuthin'!

    False Bottom DIY????

Wouldn't you have to buy the dip tube adapter to go with it? (+$17.95) Even with that it's far less than $100. Also, it says it's a flared dip tube. Can anyone who has one tell me which end is flared (both)? You might be thinking that the end that goes into the adapter is obviously the one...

    Keg tool

I read the 14 pages and have an idea but none of GreenMonti's pictures are showing up so it's a little difficult to see what he was talking about. I kind of have an idea based on what others said but it would be really cool to see this tool in action.

    New Replacement for March Pump

Exactly the reason I have to try and keep it inexpensive. It's a hobby that SWMBO already thinks I spend too much on and frankly, I think I do too but I love to do it. I'd absolutely love to have a rig that a bottomless wallet could buy and build but what's the fun in that?...kills the ingenuity.

    New Replacement for March Pump

It seemed to me that "Made in the USA" was the point he was trying to get across. While this may be beside the point, it's the reason China is kicking everyone's ace in manufacturing. They make it and ship it half way around the world for cheaper than we're willing to do it here. The sad part...

    Got wood...now with pictures!

This is great! I'm planning on doing a very similar build and was wondering what the total height is with keggles and if you've had any problem with the wood charring. I'm 5'11" so I'll be making mine short enough to be able to look down into the kettles while also making it tall enough to...

Yes one more Brutus Custom Debacle :-)

Nick...got the house I was trying to buy so I will be utilizing/stealing your experience on this very shortly. Can't wait to put the new pumps to the test and to start piecing together my new stand!! Glad to see you got your new burners in and tweaked up just right.

    Empty Kegs???

I'll stick to the deniability that the person I bought it from on Craigslist owned it. Even if they did get it from a store, full for a keg party, they paid more for the deposit on it plus the beer than $20-30.
