    Pump question !

I'm super stoked about getting these pumps! It's my first major step to a pain-free brew day. Nuts on not getting in on that deal though. I figured that since I missed out on the free Chugger pump deal a couple weeks ago, I had to jump on this one. Chugger is great! I ordered this morning...

    Pump question !

Hey Mike, Just ordered two pumps. Hope to be receiving the ones with the stainless heads. What a deal! Better hurry if you want one at the $79.99 price. According to the auction, after I ordered, there were only two left at that price.

Those of you with Taps in Fridge Door...

Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to set up multiple regulators? I have a 6-way manifold and would like to pressurize different styles at different psi's. I know I can put regulators between each outlet of the manifold but I'm afraid it will take up a ton of space inside the...

Those of you with Taps in Fridge Door...

My next investment will be six perlicks and shanks for my freezer on top kegerator. I want to have them all come through the door so I don't have to open the fridge everytime I want to pull a beer. My plan is to take the door off, remove the seal and the plastic shelving on the inside of the...

From Ugly Rusty Fridge to Black Beauty!

This may seem obvious but it's generally a good indication that the cooling lines aren't inside the walls of the fridge if they are somewhere else. For instance, my old garage fridge that I got for free off of craigslist has the whole rack of heat exchange lines on the back of the fridge...

    Shanks...How long?

I'm about to upgrade my 6 keg kegerator finally from the crappy picnic taps to some (hopefully, if I can get in on a group buy) Perlicks. My kegerator is the standard freezer on top refrigerator and I'm planning on running the taps right through the door. I thought about taking the the...

    group buy perlick 425ss faucets

Is someone organizing another group buy for these because I need 6 and $23.75 is waaaay better than the $39 I'm finding on other sites?

    Refrigerator not cooling...

Figured it out! The fan motor in the freezer has pretty much crapped out which is why the freezer is cold and the fridge part is not getting cold. This is an older refrigerator so the bottom half is cooled by airflow from the freezer via this blower. Now, I have to find a replacement...maybe a...

    Refrigerator not cooling...

I plugged the hole today when I put the new lines in my kegerator. The gas line going in is sealed with a rubber grommet that I used on the inner wall of the frig and a second one on the outer wall.

    Refrigerator not cooling...

Just a quick question. My refrigerator that I'm using for a kegerator is the standard freezer on top and I'm afraid that the frig part is not cooling like it's suppose to. The freezer is working really well because I'm using it for extra freezing space for meat and whatever won't fit in the...

How does this one work? Which way does the water flow through?

First time to brew in a year and half...

I just read on here sometimes that people get their temps down within 20 minutes using an immersion chiller but if 40 is good then I'm doing ok I suppose. I'm still going to look for a way to speed up the process. At any rate, my Bavarian Hef is fermenting like crazy today!

First time to brew in a year and half...

I've got just enough height in my boil kettle to go gravity straight into carboy but not much more than that. This could change soon since I'm planning on putting my whole rig up on wheels so I can move it around to whereever I need to.

First time to brew in a year and half...

That's right...I haven't been able to brew in a loooong time. I've finally gotten settled in and had everything ready to get my brew on! I ordered three all-grain ingredient kits from Northern Brewer; Bavarian Hefeweizen, Cream Ale, and an Oatmeal Stout. Today I went with the Bavarian Hef...

    Better than Apfelwein...

Why only use one pound of sugar with beer yeasts? Can the alcohol content be pushed higher by using the two pounds of sugar as you would with the champagne yeast?

Who built this and can I get the plans?

In the meantime I'll be brewing on that stand...which still has to be put back together from the move. Hopefully, I'll get to it this week!

Who built this and can I get the plans?

Thanks guys...I'm going to be building something of this sort soon. I have a three tier system now and have used only gravity to drive my system. I did all of my brewing in my basement/garage in my last house but don't really have the headroom for it here. I would also love to not have to get...

Who built this and can I get the plans?

Hey guys! I haven't been on the boards in quite some time here. I've had all of my beer gear locked up in storage since March of last year in prepartation for my new venture into the military. I'm now in a place and ready saturate myself once more into beerdom. With my new found career...

    Kegerator Advice

I fit six cornies in a standard freezer-on-top refrigerator and as soon as the funds are available there will be 6 perlick faucets mounted on the door....well, maybe 5 perlicks and a stout tap....we'll see. I bet you could fit a couple more cornies in a full size upright freezer, maybe 8. You...

I want to use my minifridge to chill an insulated box

The problem with facing the minifridge down is the compressor. The freon can get into your lines and ruin the fridge...solution...build it upright. As far as getting down to lagering temps...I don't know. Seems like it would have to work much harder to get a space larger than what is...
