Planning on bottling this weekend. We brewed it five weeks ago, and it was at 1.030 on Oct 25th. Dunno if my dad has done a hydrometer reading since that, but it should be done, right? Might use a little less priming sugar than usual, just to be on the safe side.

Just finished a bottle of Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Urbock. It was pretty damn good, lots of smoke with some dark caramel flavors.

Repitched yesterday and it's bubbling away! I could stare at the airlock and the little bubbles in the juice all day. It's like glass of beer that you just poured but won't stop bubbling!

Just wondering, how long bottle condition does this need?

Just started a five liter batch. Messed up a bit and might have killed the yeast, but I suppose I'll just buy new yeast tomorrow if I did. Definitely looking forward to tasting this.

I'm still a n00b, so I'm just going to say no because that's what everyone else says. It also what I experienced with my first brew (an APA with lots of hops). I'm pretty sure it will be better in a few weeks. Can't help you with the IBU since I don't know anything about your volumes, but...

Yeah, I'd like to know how big the batch was and a more detailed hop schedule. Looks like a nice beer.

Okay, I used alien to convert the .deb file to rpm and then used the rpm to install the program, but I can't run it. a gray window shows up and immediately disappears and then I get this message: brewtarget: symbol lookup error: brewtarget: undefined symbol...

So... Have you tried it yet?

Denny's original recipe has less hops and the mashing method looks different. I'm sure all the variations posted are great though.

I'm a n00b as well, but I'd suggest taking an OG reading to see if there's any fermentation. If not, repitch and see how things turn out.

Okay, so after two extract batches I'm thinking about going over to small AG batches (since I live in a small apartment and don't have a lot of money). The batch size will probably be 10 liters (just over 2.5 gallons). Anyhow, I found an article on small scale AG brewing on a Swedish website...

Exactly. If they people start buying their products again, they'll just keep sending C&D:s to people for ridiculous reasons. If no one notices, they'll get a bunch of money. If people notices and start threatening them with a boycott, they'll just take it back and don't lose anything.
