Added too much Brown sugar, 1.082

So I tried my initial plan and added wine conditioner and some homemade concentrate. Very harsh, I then went to the store and added two cans of Apple Juice concentrate. That helped but I think I still need 1 or 2 more and to give it some time.

    Just got my UKeg 64oz!

Yeah I looked at those after I ordered my UKeg. Very cool! It looks like it will be tougher and better for outdoor activities. The UKeg is more of a bring to a BYOB restaurant or a friends house or picnic.

    Cider on Nitro

Yeah I'm glad I got the second shipment though, the first was rife with quality control issues in the china manufacturing. Only complaint is a very very slow dripping faucet that ended up being fixed with a $.15 new silicone gasket. The Chinese one had a nick in it. I enjoy it for when...

    Just got my UKeg 64oz!

I paid $129 but had to wait a year, wife was skeptical if I was even gonna get it. Definitely a want not a need!

    Just got my UKeg 64oz!

Just got my GrowlerWerks UKeg 64oz. This thing was made as a convenient dispensing growler but I think it will take off in the home brewing community. Awesome way to carry your home brew around with you to share. I was sold with the fact that it is double walled stainless, so it keeps your...

Thanks for the info Paps, I hadn't had any input yet on the actual taste of cider on Beergas. I'm excited!

    Cider on Nitro

Yeah I am going to be using Beer gas, I have just started to read up on using Beer gas and a stout faucet. I have read conflicting things about carbing with the beer gas. Some say you can use CO2 then switch over to beer gas to dispense, however I have read that some of the Nitrogen does...

    Cider on Nitro

Thank you both, yes my cider is still on secondary so I will take both your advice. I Will carb a gal of it to 1.2 in a 2.5 gal keg and see what happens.

    Cider on Nitro

I'm about to purchase a Nitrogen Regulator, used nitro tank and a stout faucet. As of right now I only have a cider and a 2xIPA (Plinian Legacy) on secondary. I was thinking a creamy cider might be interesting? Anyone tired a nitro cider? Also if I don't like it I was thinking all I have...

    Musselmans Cider

Actually what is more impossible is the word unpossible. Lol Seriously, here's what happened. I added half a bag of light brown sugar to my Musselman's and Trader Joes Cider shooting for 1.05-6 ish, well it came in at 1.082. Pretty hot for a neighborhood cider, I've got 5 gals in a 6.5...

    Musselmans Cider

I ended up using 2 gals (All I could find) of Musselman's and 3 gals of fancy Trader Joes unfiltered which ran $4 for 2 quarts. Good thing about the fancier stuff is that the OG was at 1.072 without adding anything.

Added too much Brown sugar, 1.082

Ok day 5 after pitching and haven't seen any action in a day. Gravity tested and it came in at 1.014 giving me 8.93% abv. Racked on to secondary and now its a waiting game. I'm thinking I'm probably looking at a month. As far as the Mangrove Jacks M02 Yeast it was my first experience with a...

How many gallons of Cider in 2016

2 gals Mussemans mixed with 3 gals Trader Joe's cider + 1 lbs brown sugar and Mangrove Jacks Cider yeast M02 on primary, 1.082 OG. 75.5 + 5 = 80.5
