I transferred this to my secondary and started dry hopping today. It went from 1.074 to 1.008 in 6 days. I tasted my sample and it was pretty good. I can tell this is going to be a good beer. So far I am pleased with my 2nd AG attempt.

That's a good point. I guess I will lop off the tube and scrap the top. If I toss the whole thing I will regret it yet if I keep it I will never use it. Isn't that how it works....

I have the tops and downspouts to both my keggles and was wondering if there was anything useful to make out of these. I would hate to toss them to later find out I could have used them for something.

Keggle is the way to go. Cheap and works awesome.

I don't care for Redhook ESB or any of their beers for that matter. I just tried it again a couple days ago and still was not pleased. I also tried their Longhammer IPA and though it was ok, I have had way better IPA's. I have also been to the brewery for lunch, had a few ok beers but awful...

ok, ok, a couple sips:drunk: I just realized in the pic what you see as sip lines are actually lines that are part of the glass itself...not that it matters of course. I don't think I have ever sipped a beer that many times.

In day 3 of fermentation I think its safe to say that it would be impossible for any nasties to crawl their way up your blowoff when there is so much CO2 being expelled from the yeast.

To really minimize the foam make sure when you transfer into your primary that you siphon. If you just dump it in our pour it through a funnel/strainer it aerates it pretty good so when you add the oxygen it foams up fast. The last few times I siphoned my wort into the primary I could oxygenate...

Thats a cool idea. I bet it gives a killer hops taste. Do you use different hops than was used in the boil?

Thanks guys for the thread...however it is that thread that sparked my curiosity. From what I gather out of it is that it draws your kegged beer through the hops before it reaches your glass? Is that right or am I way off?
