    I probably should have given a grain bill percentage, not weight, since its a double black ipa recipe. My normal recipe is 16lb 2-row, 1lb carafaIII, 1 lb crystal60.     I completely agree. Now that my ipa has been in the keg for a few weeks the fruit has calmed down a little bit, but it's still definitely all fruit bomb and no dank. Unless you're really into that, this hop should be combined with more dank C hops to balance out the fruit.

    I appreciate the advice. I've never thought of doing a steep, but it makes more sense than a 0 minute especially since I don't own a wort chiller and it'll take me ~35 minutes to get to pitching temps in the ice bath.
