    ah. perfect! wish i had the equipment to do a full wort boil and a wort chiller but this will have to do until i get more pro.

    i'm confused how to sanitize the cold water? if all my equipment is sanitized and i'm boiling half the water in the wort and the other half is cold water in the carboy how do i know that the water in the carboy doesnt have bacteria in it without boiling it or something?

    so when i go to get the co2 tank filled i need to have the regulator screwed on? on the regulator is clockwise or counterclockwise open up the pressure? would u reccomend just the nylon washers or should i get one of those perma seal ones that screw into the tank with an allen wrench?
