Had a New Belgium/Alpine Super IPA. I am baffled by the lemon, orange sorbet nose, and the lack of Sorachi Ace, and anise, hot alcohol, absinthe taste, that is not mentioned in any review. Also a Green Flash West Coast IPA, and a fresh Ruination via sale price on new stock?!

Narwhal Imperial Stout from Sierra Nevada, and Hoptimum. Had their estate, and northern hemisphere harvest, all were great. Southern Hemisphere Harvest on tap the other night was ****.

Spent whole cascade from my fermenter, ran through my juicer, dry side material compacted in a red bull can, yielding a 7.2oz hop pellet.

Chainbreaker from Deschutes. Meh, didn't meet the hype, but the hops and yeast are perfectly balanced.

Make sure they check dates. Firestone Double Jack and Union Jack are best very fresh, the same goes for the hoppy Heretic beers. And just because the brewery is close, doesn't mean the beer is fresh. We still find year old Hop Stoopid on the shelf here.

DBA isn't worth suitcase space, IMO. Knee Deep Simtra just hit shelves here with a new batch, I'm sure there's some still around in LA. K&L Wine in Hollywood is a good stop for me, I can find Jester King, Haandbryggeriet, Mikkeller, Nøgne Ø there which are hard for me to find. Sometimes Russian...
