You got it man! Bottom left imagine a garden hose Bottom right is coming from the pump Top is going to the chiller. I can cut on the garden hose and then switch without leaving the garage. I can also control the water flow with the valves built into the splitter

Yeah. Is it just not blowing cold? Thats not too bad. You can just recharge it with a kit from your nearest auto parts store. Hopefully thats all it needs? On another note i think i might try to just attach this hose splitter to my chiller. Then i can just turn the valves and switch the water...

Hmmm yeah that makes sense. It is an immersion. Well i wonder what the difference would be? Maybe i could get a connector so i wouldnt have to do so much to change it out

Tested out my pump. It connected tightly to my wort chiller. Ive got a cooler that i plan to use. It should work well. I guess the water direction flow through the chiller shouldn’t matter right?

I did that one time and got some surface rust in a keg. I got some bar cleaners friend to clean it out and its been fine ever since. I never leave pbw cleaner in my kegs anymore

Is that like a keg/fermenter washer? Thats pretty cool. I hadnt thought of that. I did get my pump so i could try to use it for that as well as a recirculating chiller

Yes i drilled both but only recently added the thermometer Man drilling stainless isnt too hard but its not easy either. What i found is that you need to make a small pilot hole first, like a 1/8, use some sort of lubricant to keep the metal from overheating, like dish soap and water mix or...

Yes i should have recieved my pump from amazon today. And i also ordered a stainless hop spider. I had so much loss from hops. I mean 8 oz in 6.5 gallons idk what i was thinking. It was coming out so clear for a while. I was like i dont need anything. Then i only got like 4.5 gallons in the...

That sucks man! Well i brewed yesterday on my birthday. It took about 4 hours for an extract ipa. It took way too long to chill. I found out some of the issues with my system and im already on it! Lol. I think itll be a very tasty ipa though. I put 5 oz in at flameout and there were 3 oz before...

Yeah man. I boiled some water and cleaned it up this morning. Gonna brew an extract ipa tomorrow for my birthday in it. Itll make chilling easier by not having to manually check the temp and the next all grain i do it will be an awesome mash tun! If this friday ever ends! Omg i hate my job when...

Nice! Where/what is that? They got anymore? How much? Lol. I just took two of my three kegs out of commission. Well filled one and used the liquid dip tube from my short keg on my tall keg so i could pressure ferment some apfelwein and try that out and see if/what kind of differences there is...

Yes it does! I have only brewed beer once this year because of the time it takes. Im working on a time saving technique though. Sometimes I squeeze in some things like cleaning and transferring while the family takes a nap. Like today, everyone took a nap and i closed transferred my simcoe...

I have done that before with lexington water. But my house gets water from cayce and it sucks! we dont drink it unfiltered so im not gonna put it in my beer without filtering it. Then i feel like it would need campden so im kind of like. After all that ill just go to the grocery store and buy...

Good idea. I like it. I wonder how much beer is in the line though. I like to turn the gas down then get a pint or two before filling bottles. It lowers pressure without purging

I just use picnic taps for the moment. One of these days when i get around to it i may add a collar to my freezer and put some real taps on it but picnic taps work just fine for me right now. I even figured out a way to bottle from the tap, easily, with barely any foam. I have a piece of tubing...
