    Need Help finding burners

Nope, what's the capacity of your regulator and are the kettles raised up off the frame such that you get good airflow to the flames?

    Rims

Why not just make a RIMS tube? It's going to end up costing about the same once you account for the kettle. You're going to have a bulky open vessel strapped to your MLT with a ton of residual volume (and eventual loss) See the RIMS tube for dummies thread in the DIY forum here...

    Newbie Purchasing Equipment

I would also recommend JP's book. The website is from the 1st edition and he is now on the 3rd. Get the 3rd. Don't buy any equipment until you read this thing cover to cover. Then buy yourself a nice starter kit based on the knowledge from the book and do at least 2 extract batches. You'll learn...

    Feedback on Control Panel plans

    1. Switches: You have the right idea on the switches and how the block work. Most of the Chinese switches we cheapos buy for these things come with one block only and you can add more. The second block just screws into the ass end of the other block. For most switches I have used, you can only...

    Feedback on Control Panel plans

You seem like you know mostly what to do so I'll keep this shortish. Essentially, you are going to have 3 element circuits built just like kal except at the element on switches (and really you're gonna be similar there too) There are lots of ways to skin this cat, this is just one. Your HLT/BK...

    Need Help finding burners

Theoretically 100k, they are 220k on high pressure. This all assumes your regulator has the throughput for the demand. You'll never be running all 3 burners at full tilt though so you don't need one that does 300k. Most people round here use a 160k version. Some have one 100k LP reg for each...

Opinions from people that own brew stands/would like one...

It depends on the scope of your project. Structurally speaking, I think you got some good advice. I know people love their tiered stands but I went single tier on wheels with enough space down below to tuck away all the kettles, throw a tarp over the top, and slide it off to the corner of the...

    2011 Hops

American hops for the year ordered. Can't wait to lay into these with an imperial IPA!

    2011 Hops

Still a 2 lb max? Or does that only apply to the ones that keep going out of stock? I'd like to get some Columbus and Cascade (which have been in stock) In addition to a total of 2 pounds of Simcoe/Amarillo/Centennial

    Autosparge vs fly sparge

IMO the dennybrew article does a good job with this. dennybrew I have done both and will say that fly is the obvious way to go with HERMS/RIMS given the grain bed filter you establish and for large grain bills (and therefore large volumes) that would be difficult to BIAB or stir. However, as...

Heating element ? (wireing in series)

Oh ya, got em crossed up! Thanks for correcting me before I messed his setup up. The PWM driving both is a nice solution for maximum control

Heating element ? (wireing in series)

The resistance of the elements will add in series so just double the power and current. Paralell will drop the power and current by half in each assuming the elements are of equal resistance.
