Wow, that's impressive. I just got a small wine cooler. Looks like it can fit about 10 750ml bottles standing up. So far I have Black Tuesday and '10 christmas ale. Going to try to add a few more to it this weekend.
Let us know how it comes out. My pumpkin ale came out well this year but I may do the same recipe next year and something else a bit different...this sounds like it could be good. Are you going to age it until next fall?
Did you do a full 60min boil? Since there are no hops, could you just bring the LME to a boil and after any hot break, start your spice additions?
This is defenitly going into my line up just have to do a bit more research.
When cellaring, are you laying bottles on the side?
I am getting a 12 bottle wine fridge that stores bottles horizontally. Is that a problem?
I have read mixed reviews on this but I cannot find those threads...
Unfortunitly, I do not. Im stranded here with nothing to brew. Just some beer and a ton of books to read until I brew. Planning on an IIPA next. What are you brewing today?
Brooklyn Homebrew is amazing...I'm there all the time!
I ment a bottle shop, Bierkraft like. A co-worker wanted to know if there were any around.
Sorry for the confusion
If I wasn't concerned with my wort volume, I'm sure I'd hit the OG but since I am trying to get a preboil of 6.4 gal. I am thinking I am loosing efficency there. So I will try adding grain on my next brew....thanks.
I'm consistent at 65%, before ask my LHBS to run the grain through the mill a second time, would I be better off adding extra grain to make up for the lost efficency? If adding another pound or 2 of grain wont break the bank...
