Bierkraft in Brooklyn is a good spot, make sure to get a sandwich!
Also the Gingerman near MSG is good, very crowded though. Rattle N Hum, pony bar. All great spots!
Nothing like Staten Island being the forgotten borough....this must change!!!!!
A CF or plate chiller may be my next buy. My IC from Brooklyn Homebrew just isn't cutting it and I am getting sick of carrying water to the washer machine.
Another idea....a meeting about off flavors. Maybe see if we can get one of those flavoring spike kits. I know I could use some help training my palate.
Illegal? I don't see how it would be illegal but I could see it being difficult for paperwork. It's an interesting concept though that would be fun to look into.
I agree, Holiday is a bit out of the way for me but Champs is even further. Champs had had a nice growler line up but I just picked up a few bottles. I talked to the guy for a bit and he said growler sales are doing well.
Holiday is definitly the best place on the island and Wayne always...
To keep with the beer theme, how about an issue of beer advocate or draft mag. I'm doing something similar for my groomsmen. I brewed a beer just for them, a big engraved mug and a cigar.
Good luck with the wedding.
Thanks for the heads up Sonny. I'm kirk, been brewing for almost 2 years. Great to see another club trying to take off. It was sad to see the club go under, Mark did some great things with it. (Hope to see more of Brewing As Art). Monday should work for me, around 6.
