St. Patrick's day and I'm brewing!

Nothing like brewing a belgian, with my Belgian bouvier brew dog Blackbeard keeping an eye on the kettle!

St. Patrick's day and I'm brewing!

Happy St. Patrick's day everyone! I'm not Irish, but I do like to knock back a stout every now and then. I'm brewing a Belgian Dark Strong today. I'll download some photos later on.

    Brasserie cantillion

I was on the website for cantillion, PA wasn't listed as one of the states that they shop to. I'll try Belgium in a box. I'm in philly, so maybe a trip to Maryland is in order.

    Brasserie cantillion

Sorry, meant to add that the archaic liquor laws make it almost impossible to have any beer shipped in.

    Greetings from Pa. Dutch country

Yoh, I'm in philly. I've been brewing for 8 years, I've made plenty of hard cider, my wife loves it! Nothing like it on a hot summer day.

    The lone Aussie?

Welcome! You've already brewed two batches, so you're no longer new to brewing! Remember, the great thing about home brewing is the experimentation. I've been brewing for 8 years, and I still find new ways of altering recipes, and trying different ingredients. We all have a little mad scientist...

    Highest ABV?

What is the highest alcohol content you've ever achieved, in your home brewing careers? I managed a little over 10%. Belgian quad.

Transfer to secondary early for brett?

My Flanders red ale was in primary for two weeks, it has been in secondary for just over 7 months. I could have done a week in primary, but I have a thing about two weeks(weird, I know). You should be fine. Good luck!
