Hello fellow brewers! Looking for some ideas from the group. I use a pump to push the wort through a plate chiller into a FastFerment 14g. When I have a helper it's no problem, they just hold the hose into the top of the fermenter. The top of the fermenter is nearly 5-1/2 feet of the ground...

The biggest issue is all connections are threaded the same direction so if you aren’t careful you can unscrew the nut that holds the ball value (which keeps the wort in the fermentor) when removing the collection ball. Trust me I know this from experience (the company was very helpful though)...

Mitchell, thanks for the advice. I will re-tape and screw in further. So, if I understand you correctly, I should make sure the tape goes a little over the top edge of the threads? I have been worried about stripping the threads on the conical but will tighten further than I have previously...

It leaks at the junction of the conical and the grey valve

Yes, there is still a leak. I can see the area where the ball valve meets the fermenter slowly fill with water until is starts to drip to the floor.

Looking for help on a FF 14g leaking problem. I have not had the same leaking issues that many of you have suffered. The lid is just fine and no leaking from the thermowell. However, the connection between the conical and the ball valve leaks. Yes, of course I have it wrapped 10x with teflon...

I am guessing that the gas is now on the dip tube?

Just depressurize the keg (pressure relief valve on top), unscrew the posts and replace correctly.

Like I said, can’t really see any defects. Again, it’s a pinhole, not a big hole.

I can't realy see any imperfection when I look into keg. However, under pressure, I see the leak through the rubber base on the keg. I will clean out the keg and look again when I get home.

I think I already know the answer...BUT, I'll ask nonetheless. I have a cornelius keg that sprung a pin-hole leak at the bottom, just off center. Is there anyway to seal this or is it trash at this point? :(
