    pilot light bulb source?

I found a source for the 120v bulb with same the price as above with reasonable shipping: Super Bright LEDs - BA9s and BA7s LED Bulbs Now I need a source for the same thing but 240v.

Ever use a shipping container for brew shed??

I have never even heard of that. How much do they cost and how difficult are they to get? It seems like a cool idea, but probably a lot more difficult to work with than traditional building supplies. You'd have to be able to cut holes for windows/vents. I don't know how difficult that is.

    3 15.5 kegs

There are a ton of options. Think for a while before you cut. Some people invert the keg and cut the bottom so they can use the sanke opening as a bottom drain. My setup is more typical with the tops cut off all three. One is the hot liquor tank to heat and hold strike water and sparge...

    pilot light bulb source?

Anyone have a source for pilot light bulbs like these: 1 NEW (HQ) WHITE LED BULB 120V AC/DC HIGH QUAILITY | eBay Electrical Replacement Parts prices are great but it will cost me $30 to ship $10 of replacement bulbs. I just can't bring myself to do that. I checked the local hardware store...

    DC-Powered Panel

I was sort of "forced" to go a similar route. I got freebie 24v contactors and Watlow 24v PIDs. So I had to get a 24v power supply. It takes up a ton of room in the panel. It works great, but it's one more item that can fail later. If I had to buy from scratch, I would get all 120v control...

    Why are controllers so expensive?

Don't forget tools. Unless you already have a bunch of metalworking tools or a friend who does, it's going to cost you. I built an ElectricBrewery-like system because I had access to a lot of freebie industrial components. I didn't account for the extra hole saws, step-bits and chassis...

    Legend Brown Ale Clone? (extract)

I'm sure it will be good. Where did you get your ingredients? Falls Church? I hate driving out there from Warrenton, but there really isn't anywhere else around if you need something in a pinch.

    Thoughts/comments on our lagering chamber

Great job! I am jealous of the sheetmetal skills. Good point on the gasket idea also.

    Homebrewtalk Carboy Cleaner Giveaway

I would like a carboy cleaner because cleaning carboys is a pain and the carboy cleaner makes is simple.

    Legend Brown Ale Clone? (extract)

I have never used dry yeast, but I imagine it would do the job just fine. Liquid yeast really isn't that bad though. I didn't make a yeast starter for the above batch and it was a very vigorous fermentation when I checked the next day (~12 hrs). Just warm up the yeast pack to room temp, then...

    Legend Brown Ale Clone? (extract)

    Here's what I did, and I was extremely happy with it: (5-gallon, all-grain) 10.5lbs Maris Otter 2-row 1lb 60L crystal malt 0.25lb chocolate malt (412 SRM) 0.25lb cara-munich malt (56 SRM) 1oz Tettnanger (5.2%AA, 60 min) 1oz Mt. Hood (4.0%AA, 60 min) Wyeast #1098 British Ale yeast...

Can I use this (gfci breaker)

A lot of us are using that $50 spa panel. PJ has a couple wiring diagrams showing how to hook it up.

    Pid d1s-vr-220

I have a Watlow96 controller. Granted it is a completely different controller but I think it likely operates similar in this matter. According to the manual: "RTD input: Each 1 ohm of lead wire resistance can cause a +2F error when using a 2-wire RTD. A three-wire RTD sensor overcomes this...

    CRYDOM SSR 50A and 90A

I have a few used Crydom solid-state relays for sale. I tested and they all work. I have 1 of the 50A and 5 of the 90A models available. Input is 3-32v, Output is rated for 240v. Model #'s D2450 and D2490. I was thinking $15 + shipping (from VA) for the 50A model and $20 + shipping for the...

    Speigle Braumeister?

I think you will find a widely varying opinion on this board regarding the braumeister systems. I have used one that was given to a friend of mine. They are simple and work well. The biggest drawback besides the price is that it limits your sparge options. Once you lift the inner sleeve out...

Looking good man. Where'd you get that cutter? It's pretty slick. Good luck with the rest of the build. :mug:
