    Frankenbrew?

I have done this. I'm telling the OP you need a MINIMUM of 6 oz of hops. It's best to use more. Do 4oz of chinook and 4oz tomahawk @60, then do the same @10. AWESOME!

    Frankenbrew?

I think It's a great idea, but you will want to use at least 6 oz. of hops.

    Howdy from Chicagoland

Must have been a coincidence on the order. I was at the bar with a guy wearing an Iowa hawkeyes jersey. We stopped in from like 6:30-8.

    40 ounces?

Tecate, and other Mexican piss beers come in 32oz. I had a party and bought like 20 of them.

I hope it's the Bavarian Lodge. I also hope you like to give free beer to people you meet on the internet. I'm in Wheaton too. Check out knaves.org

    40 ounces?

The Whole Foods by me sells swing top growlers of Altenmunster beer for $16. They make a maibock, and a doppelbock. Both of which are good. I usually fill 2 of them up at bottling time. That's 20% of the batch in about a minute.

what is the most amount of hops you have used in a 5 gallon batch?

NB's DIPA kit calls for 6oz. I just bottled it, and it is going to be great!

Cold weather question for the brewers up North.

Just a side note, shipping boxes are pretty fire resistant, which is why they stopped using wooden crates for shipping 60 years ago.

    Glassware with micro-etching

Buy a Duvel pack, it has a 500ml tulip, and 2 beers. If you don't want the Duvel logo, just wash it in your dishwasher.

    Safety tips for brewing outdoors

I take the same precautions as I do when grilling. I make sure to keep one hand cold at all times with a beer.

Leaving beer in the fermenter Vs. bottling.

I did dry hop at 2 weeks. It has now been 3 weeks total.

Leaving beer in the fermenter Vs. bottling.

So I have a DIPA from Northern Brewer in my fermenter. They say it will be "ready in 8 weeks." So the question is, what is the difference between leaving beer in the fermenter for 6 weeks, or bottling at 3 weeks, and letting the bottles hang out for a month or 2? As long as the FG is on...
