So, my husband (who's apparently too much of a guy to post and ask for advice) made a batch of pale ale last night ... and failed to notice before he pitched the yeast that its "best before" date was April. (White Labs English Ale yeast, if it makes any difference.) We finished up the beer...

Hasn't anyone told you to "Relax, don't worry, have a homebrew?" yet? ;) Seriously, between me and my husband, we've screwed up six ways till Sunday making most of our batches, and they've all turned out fine anyway :) Award-winning, probably not ... but more than drinkable!

I'd guess it would be fine. The first batch my husband and I made, we boiled the grains the ENTIRE time. (Guess we hadn't studied up very well beforehand!) Whoops! It was a nut brown -- turned out a little assertive for me, but everyone else who's had it has loved it!
