What I did for beer today

After a break of around 3 months I returned to the brewhouse aka the backroom of our garage. I dad a lot of cider available and no urge to go out in the cold to brew. It sould be fun. A Munich Dunkel was on the brewing schedule. I pulled out a former recipe the evening before and adjusted the...

Name That Skyline - Picture Game

Too many trees for Greenland, too whitish ice for Iceland. I've seen Fox, Franz Josef, Tasman and Hooker Glacier in NZ and it doesn't look familiar although they're pretty close to the rainforest, the European ones are way above the tree line ... I'd go for the Andes. In particular: Cayambe...

not UK, not Germany. A bus is always a good indicator for the side of road that is used: there's one feature, that points it out: the passenger doors.

    What are you drinking now?

I'm on my way to Frankfurt again and just grabbed by chance something out of the fridge in the store at Munich central station. Now and then I really do enjoy one of beers out of the Munich based breweries (I know - complaining on a high level. Have you ever had a beer while shooting with 292...

    What are you drinking now?

Last night in Siem Reap I drank this jewel in a little eatery there. They're supporting local businesses and people who need a second chance, donating all profits for kids education after paying the employees over average, and they served this local brew (founded after the pandemic lockdowns to...

    What are you drinking now?

First beer in Cambodia 🇰🇭, as I arrived in Siem Reap. The Angkor Lager is a decent beer. A bit of maltiness, well balanced bitterness, just slightly hint of sweetness in the finish. I like it. edit: and a second one 😁

    What are you drinking now?

Found a craft beer shop in the streets of Hanoi (Vietnam) selling this rice beer. I had it on my way back to the appartment, so no picture of the color. In the first sip, until it's completely on the tongue, it tastes like a 'normal' Helles (whatever 'normal' means exactly), but a slight...
