    Dogs

I knew what you meant, but I'm so tired, after work that I couldn't figure out how to respond. I think I may need a beer to blow the cobwebs out of the space between my ears.

    Dogs

I hope not! I'm expecting him to be 225+ when he's full grown! My last mastiff was a female and she topped out at 165 pounds, and she was the runt of the litter.

    Dogs

I'm leaning towards Loki, but about half the family want the other name. I was gonna name him Vorlauf, but that got shot down quick, lol. I thought it sounded cool...

    Dogs

Here is our soon to be new brew dog. He's an English Mastiff that's a week old in this picture. I get to go get him in mid-August. We're still working on a name for him, though. It's either gonna be Loki, or Zeuss.

What are you listening to (music!!!) right now? Embarrassing or not... share

I'm listening to Forming The Void. Their cover of Kashmir is pretty good, if you're into sludge rock. Next up; Amon Amarth, Jomsviking.

How many times can I use a yeast cake?

I've reused a yeast cake as much as 12 times. I usually wash the first batch and split it into 4 or 5 jars that I then pitch into separate batches. I pick the lowest gravity batch and wash the yeast from that and continue that way (after the first wash). I've had my best results with S-04 and...

    What are you drinking now?

Having a Firestone Walker Lager before bedtime. Not bad, but I prefer Czech Pilsner, myself. I can't wait to get back home to have some of my citra pale ale. The more I brew, the more I prefer my own over commercial stuff...

    What are you drinking now?

Having a Left Hand Juicy Goodness, before bedtime. I have to clone this one.

Has brewing changed your drinking habits at all?

I have found that I drink less since I've been brewing, but that's not saying much. I used to drink a minimum of a 6 pack every day. Now it's less than 4; but better beer. I buy a lot of craft beer to get ideas for my next brew day. I do it now for the enjoyment of what I have created, instead...

    Solitary brewer ?

I only have 2 stress relievers, one is riding my Harley and the other is brewing. I like to do both alone. The wife is very understanding and usually takes the kids out while I'm doing my thing. I do enjoy when my kids help, but that's usually when I'm cleaning up, or taking gravity samples.

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

I'm in the middle of a 4 day cold crash on mine before I bottle. I plan on using the yeast cake for another brew using 2 row, a little crystal 40, and lemon drop hops.

    What Are You Brewing Next???

My next brew is about to happen tonight. Heady Topper clone. This weekend I plan on doing an experimental lager using 2 row and lemon drop hops.

    Pump recommendation

I've been shopping around for a good pump, myself. I'm leaning towards a Chugger pump, and maybe trying out the Anvil pump too.

    What are you drinking now?

I'm having a black and tan with my stout and zombie dust clone. I bottled the Zombie Dust today, and used what I couldn't bottle with the stout. I don't think I'll do that again. It's not very good. Edit: The ZD clone is very good, just not mixed with another beer, thought I'd clarify the post.

    What are you drinking now?

Having a gravity sample of my Zombie Dust (ish) clone. It's very good. 2 more days, then it's off to bottling this one!

The Ole' Window AC - Glycol Chiller Build

I'm gonna have to try this! I bought 5 window unit air conditioners when my central air went out in my house, and I still have them. I plan on buying a conical within the next few months, and it would help free up my fermentation chamber for lagering.

    "you won't save money homebrewing"

I absolutely save money on brewing vs buying craft beer. I use keggles for my 3 vessel system that I paid $20 a piece for (plus $50, or so in hardware). I buy my grains and hops in bulk, and use natural gas to brew with. My kegs were my biggest investment and my keezer is one that got...

    Don't Do That.

Lol, that's what I said! My wife had the opinion that the probiotics were rotten, and left the room for about 45 minutes...
