Well??? How did it turn out?

It was fermented at 66F with Notty. I can't see that being the issue? I did a batch of a pilsner yesterday, got the hot break and ran my element at about 80% with a pretty hard boil. Ended up 2 gal short, so had to top up. I guess it could just be a case of boiling it too hard with too much...

With flow like that it seems unlikely! Any word on how its going? taste it yet?

Quick question, this was my first double batch (10gal)... just a nice easy pale ale. I had to baby sit it in my 23gal e-kettle to keep it from foaming over. It was foamy the entire boil. What causes this? I fermented it a week, smells like rotten eggs. DMS? :(

Fermentation is a funny thing sometimes. RDWHAHB! ...and remember that an airlock is not a hydrometer. If you really wanna monitor progress, take a sample and see if your gravity has dropped. If it has, the yeasties are working, let them do their thing.

Hey all, interested in trying a batch of rootbeer from extract or syrup... but I haven't been able to find anything other than Rainbow's extracts in Canada. Does anyone know of a source for Sprecher syrup or the extracts made by Gnome in Canada? I'm struggling heavily. Thanks! TG
