    I sort of want something that I won't have to worry about boil overs, but also I'm on a tight budget... I think in the long run, I won't be happy with this as it is just a little small... I also heard that you should try to buy one that is approximately the same height as it is in diameter...

    Ok, thanks all. I just figured I'd see what everyone else thinks about it. They're pretty cheap but I think I'll hold out for maybe an 8 or 10 gallon kettle.

    Anyone use this as a brew kettle? http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_10051_27721_-1?N=77985508+10001&Ntt=tf+cook&Ntk=All. If so, is it too tall?? Walls too thin?? Does it heat evenly? Anything I'm missing?

    I'm pretty new to all this, but it seems to me that when a bottle explodes, it has a lot to do with the pressure inside the bottle and very little to do with the pressure outside the bottle.

    I brewed it not too long ago... It tasted great when i bottled it. But it probably won't be ready to refrigerate for another week or two.
