Anyone have any pictures of the Blichmann "Tower of Power"?

I use the other pump to move the wort from the boil pot thru the therminator to the carboy. You have to recirculate with the tower of power system. I use gravity from my HLT to Mash using the auto sparge.

Anyone have any pictures of the Blichmann "Tower of Power"?

I purchased the tower and think it is well worth the money. The "plug and play" option was the best option for me. The flow meter really comes in handy with both recirculating and sparging. When I am done sparging I can disconnect the whole tower from the top tier and start cleaning off to the...

    Autumn Seasonal Beer Punkin' Ale

I brewed this recipe using a long neck pumpkin scaled to a 6 gallon batch. I think using real pumpkins is the way to go if you can find them since they are less mushy (more stringy) and less likely to create a stuck sparge. I also stir it in after the grain and only stir it in the top third of...

    Blichmann false bottom Plugged??

I had the same problem this last Saturday brewing a Kolsch with 11 lbs of grain at 1.5 qt per lb. About 3 or 4 minutes into the recirculation to raise temp from 122 F to 149 F it slowed down to trickle at 143 F! I wasn't sure where it was plugged (I checked all the lines and pump and they...

    Trub/Hop Filter from BrewersHardware

When using the .2 mm screen, is it still allowing some of the trub through for healthy yeast and fermentation (as some think is a required).

    Carabou Slobber

I brewed AG Carabou Slobber last weekend and scaled the recipe to 6 gal. I collected 7 gallons of wort and the pre boil SG was 1.054 (the target OG for this beer is 1.051). I added 1 gallon of water and got the SG into the high 1.040s (I didn't want to dilute too much) I boiled it for 60...

Attn Experienced Pumpkin Ale Brewers - Stuck Sparge Question

I am brewing this recipe in the next couple of weeks (just waiting for pumpkin pie pumpkins at the store) and was actually thinking of using some of the suggestions you have listed. I was planning on using a little more rice hulls that is recommended, mix them in with the grain and then stir the...

Anyone have any pictures of the Blichmann "Tower of Power"?

A friend asked John Blichmann a question about their top tier system and at the end of the email he commented the temperature controller would be coming out in "another couple of months"

    Best pumpkin ale kit?

I am thinking about brewing a Pumpkin Ale in a couple of weeks. Has anyone just put a can of pumpkin right in the boil pot or is it best to put it in a nylon bag? If you do the whirlpool at the end of the boil (like you do to get the hops sludge to the middle of the pot) does this prevent the...

Reflectix Insulation for Kettle - Disappointing Results

I actually use 4 layers on a polarware BK (mash tun) and normally loose less than 1 degree/hr (with temps in the 60s). Last April I had 25lbs of grain for 90 minutes (Barleywine) and the temperature actually went up 2 degrees. When I do the mash out at 170 I take the relectix off (I use...
