American IPA Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone (AG) & Extract

Thanks guys, obviously I wouldn't really dump this, but I forgot about all the "nerves" that go along with brewing. Good thing I have plenty of beer!

    Thoughts on next brew?

Do you like any Belgian styles? I know you already have an American wheat, but maybe a nice belgian white or saison? That's the kind of stuff I get in the mood for once the warmer months hit. Good luck finding your inspiration! Cheers.

American IPA Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone (AG) & Extract

Bah! Haven't brewed in a while and it shows. Brewed the extract version of this last night and accidentally pitched my 1056 @ 80º rather than the preferred lower temp. Is my life over? Should I pour this beer in the terlet? Will the world end? RDWHAHB? :mug:

American IPA Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone (AG) & Extract

hmm... Now stoopid newb me confused. Given this, would you go so far as to say you would amend the original recipe to not include a 'secondary'??

American IPA Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone (AG) & Extract

Thanks for the reassurance, guys. But, alas, it seems like anybody who is serious about home brewing uses a secondary (not a dig, I promise). I think I might order one to have ready just in time for this batch. Seems like there are several benefits that make it worth it.

American IPA Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone (AG) & Extract

Is it possible to dry-hop this beer without racking to a secondary (I don't have one) :(?

    Re-introducing...ME!

Hey from upstate NY, haven't brewed in a long time, looking to get back into it soon. I've only brewed a handful of times but had fun with it. My most rewarding beer was a partial mash Nut Brown out of that one book. You know the one I mean. Any suggestions on a style to try to...

    Allagash Four Ale

This is one of the best beers I've had...ever...in the world. The world. You have to be tolerant enough of the very forward sweetness of this beer to be able to appreciate all the other complexity in, around, and behind it. Can't get it near me as far as I know (believe me, I've looked)...

    Harpoon Glacier Harvest

Loved that beer when I tried it last year at the brewery in Boston. Haven't tried this year's but Harpoon's 100-barrel series is almost always tasty. I'm not sure if this story is completely accurate, but a buddy who was recently at a brewery event told me that they drive to upstate NY to pick...

additions to elbro nerkte brown ale?

Cool, thanks. Just out of curiousity, what have you learned since that you would apply to a new batch?

additions to elbro nerkte brown ale?

Funny that's similar to what the guy at the HBS told me right before he recommended adding the chocolate malt. Thanks for the info.

Metallic aftertaste of Muntons Old English Bitter

EDIT: SORRY I THINK I POSTED THIS IN THE WRONG SECTION. JUST IGNORE ME. I AM AN IDIOT. Hello all, I just tasted my first bottle brewed from Muntons Gold Old English Bitter kit last night. I waited only 10 days from bottling to try the first beer. It is pretty intense bitter flavor with a...
