    It was a lager yeast Buthelezi it was a kit, I'll grab them and bring them into room temp for a couple of weeks see what they do.

    Yeah it called for it. It's not bad tasting it's on the sweeter side. So I should stuff them in the fridge? I have the bottles in the basement right now? Think it will get better?

    Ok now I'm a bit confused. Obviously I'm new at this but I have read books on you shouldn't stir your yeast in your wort but yet stirring is aggressive at keeping it growing strong?

    So after your wort is 5 gals in the bucket then stir then pitch east? Do you pitch right away or wait for the froth to settle a little?

    Hey all I have two cold plates and im looking for a straight up trade both plates for a wort chiller. One plate is stamped Wo65 its the thicker one and the other is a little thinner but both are single pass.

    My only concern is carbonation. How do you know when to throw it in the frig? That would make a messy bomb.
