    Who's brewin today?

I would love to be brewing right now but it's 109* outside. It is sad that I have to wait until tonight (when it will be a cool 95*) to even think about brewing. Oklahoma summers are wack.

    Oh no...is it toast?

That happened to me a while back - then I learned the beauty of a blow off tube. Your beer will be fine! :mug:

We're to go in Belgium and Cologne?

I made that same trip in March! We stayed in Dusseldorf but commuted to Cologne for business during the day. After the business portion of the trip my wife and I took a train to Amsterdam. Fruh! is a great place! I tell you what - we went to countless breweries/pubs/restaurants over there...

how do you guys come up with names for your homebrews?

For me it's just whatever comes to mind. One of the best things besides the product that brewing creates is the freedom to name it whatever the hell you want! I had a stout that I called The Black Pearl Stout (I later saw someone on here had the same idea) bc I love the Pirates trilogy, and my...

    Favorite Brewing Music

I like your style. Although I have never listened to them while brewing, I love Coheed. I tend to crank Zeppelin or Bob Marley when I brew.

    Bud Light Aluminum Bottles

"I drank all that Bud, please tell me that it was for something.... :(" That is pretty funny! BL is terrible and only reserved for the summer's hottest activities (lake, golf, etc) around my house.

Anyone else have these Sam Adams Pint Glasses?

I have a set of 8 of those, and a set of 4 of the BIG Sam Adams Octoberfest steins. My wife got both of them for me for my birthday last year. They're great!

    Kegging Question

Um - the freezer was $180 @ Lowe's. I paid $300 from my local homebrew store for the two tap tower, 2 cornys, a filled 5lb CO@ tank and all the tubing/gauges. For my temperature controller I went with a digital one (bc I am anal) so I could have it dialed in to the exact degree - it was around...

Vanilla Bourbon Porter - need input!

Dude, no way. It's just a black dude. I made the connection right away with old gentlemen in the south drinking bourbon and he's a black guy.

    My Kegerator

Very nice! I love the chalkboard idea! You should be proud.

    Kegging Question

Just a heads up - I am not a "techy" guy, nor do I consider myself that "handy" but I built my own keggerator a month or so back and I did it all for WAY cheaper than that and all of my components were new (aside from the 2 corny kegs.). It is a Holiday 6.8 Chest Freezer from Lowe's, with a 5...

    Greetings from Oklahoma

Thanks! Jumbo - LTB is where I get all of my supplies. I just happened to get my equipment from there when I started and for whatever reason I stay loyal to them. I think there is a lot to be said about supporting the local brew store vs ordering online even though the internet is usually...

I see you're in OKC. Which shop do you buy most of your supplies from?

I have to take a hiatus from beer making...

So sorry to hear that. What's next?

    Do you like to cook?

I love to cook! In the kitchen and out on the smoker. I def think there is a strong tie between brewers and cooks. It's the process of creating something consumable - the advantage brewing has is that it's final product is BEER!!
