    Stupid Joke Thread!

I got the words "jacuzzi" and "yakuza" confused. Now I'm in hot water with the Japanese mafia

Upgrading to an all electric brewing system

I use a BCS-462 with PIDs for my 3V system. (Link) It’s an older model. The current one is a BCS-482. I say “current”, since I haven’t seen anything new in a few years. But, it works for me. I have it connected to my WiFi, so I use my iPad to control it on brew day.

    Stupid Joke Thread!

Weirdest strawberries I’ve ever tried. Tasted more like a tomatoes. I’m glad I didn’t have strawberry shortcake, I don’t think it would have been very good.

    Dogs

I’m afraid that you’ll have to use scissors and cut them out. I hope she stays still for you. Good luck.

    Heft that carboy!

When it happens, hopefully you’re not holding it from the bottom…

    Oil for aging

Personally, I wouldn’t do it. If you have a CO2 tank, drop the line into the carboy before adding your mead, and crack the valve for a few seconds. I like the idea of adding oil to the airlock. I’ve not tried it, but my next batch that I’m gonna age, I will.

Does "topping" hops help them bush-out?

One thing you can do is split the rhizomes into several along the bottom of the trellis, then allow them to grow as many bines as they want. When they reach the top, you can trim them. But, no matter what you do, once they get to whatever height they’ll get to, they start with the offshoots...

    Stupid Joke Thread!

    I didn’t do a marathon in 2020. I didn’t do any in 2021, 2022, and 2023 either. It’s a running joke.

    Stupid Joke Thread!

I went to the “World’s tiniest wind turbine” exhibit. Honestly, not a big fan.

    Heft that carboy!

Never pick up a glass bottle with one of those handles that go around the neck. Empty or full. When I worked at the homebrew shop, I'd do my best at preventing someone from buying one of those handles. I would sell them the Carboy Hauler that day_trippr mentioned. And, I'd recommend getting rid...

Looking for portable kegerator solutions... 2024 Edition

By the way, the toilet bowl flange wasn’t a used one. Just to clarify that.

Looking for portable kegerator solutions... 2024 Edition

I found this thread a little late, but this is what I built several years ago. Holds two 3 gallon kegs. The tower is 3 inch pvc, attached to the top with a toilet bowl flange. I used a paintball tank for co2, and mounted it on the back side with a fire extinguisher holder.

    Stupid Joke Thread!

A pirate walks into a bar wearing a paper towel hat. The bartender asks, "What's with the paper towel hat?" The pirate says, "Arr, there be a Bounty on me head."

    Corn on the cob

Probably wouldn't taste very good by now if you cooked it 20 years ago.
