    Why do cold water fermentation? Put a temp controller on the freezer, then you can not only ferment in there, but also use it to crash the beer when you are ready, and lager if you want...

    over time, i have picked up 5 1/2 barrel, and 1 1/6th barrel kegs from craigslist. I also know of one recycle yard hear in the Seattle area that will sell me anything that they happen to have in stock at the time...

    sorry, i should have posted that also... that is the current newspaper ad price, that ad is good yesterday and today, after that the price is subject to change, but they tend to keep things on sale longer than the actual posted ad shows.

    Thanks for all the recommendations. I will have to check some of the other sources in the area to see if those are available. Of the ones that I have found in the area, 40 beers so far, I have now purchased 25 of them, so I have exceeded last years record. hmmmm..... beer....

    I don't know how I missed the Ebeneezer, as I have a picture of it in my phone, so it should also be in my database. Every time I see a new beer in the stores, I snap a picture with my phone so that I can remember to pick it up later. As to the rest, yes, I have those in the list.

    No, no duct tape... Tho we were using a stanley fubar and a regular pry bar, to lift the keg on and off the fire... first time I have used demolition tools for cooking...
