I am going to use an o2 bottle and a fish tank stone. Is it possible to over oxygenate my wort? If so. How long do i run the aerator for a Shiner Bock clone?

Do you recommend oxygenating the wort after adding the yeast by shaking it? I have seen it in a few videos on youtube. One guy shook his for 3 minutes straight!

I swirled my thermometer in my boiling water to get an accurate temp... Don't do this. A little tap on the inside of the pot and the small black bb's in the thermometer went everywhere! Had to dump it out and start over. (lucky I didn't add my extract yet) 2nd. I fear tap water...for brewing...

Also a newbie 4th brew. How important is the temp change while fermenting. I put mine in a closet around 65 degrees and hope for the best. I dont have the tools to adjust the temp that precisely. What do you recommend to achieve this precise temp control if I were to buy the tools? Will my beer...
