    So I have re carbed it and now it does pour better but still has about half foam. But drinkable.

    That is exactly what I did different I did hook that one up as soon as I got it off the truck so we could have beer while unloading. Thanks for the info.

    I have a full 5 gal kef of great Irish red well it was great. It was a 10 gal brew the first keg done and I had started the 2nd but moved in the middle.     Yes I don't remember the exact number but was low 1020's 1022-1024. So still not 18% but close enough and you know it's full of the good stuff when drinking it.

    The day has come first full pour:) and basically taste like sweet ALCHOL. Just a little burn going down with a slight hop after taste!     I am going on a camping trip this weekend and am going to be using the portable co2 set up using 16g co2 cartridges. Has any one used these if so how many to push the full 5 gal also can I use the ones sold a walmart for bb guns or do I have to spend the extra $ on the ones at the beer store...

    I would love to be able to swap and share with many but, I have promised several bottles to local friends and a few on here from the start of the thread. I also did not rack the full 5 gal off the spent hops so it is more like a 4 gal batch. Maybe next time Gin unless hap is willing to give up...

    I put the batch in a keg today to carb. I will bottle in about a week or two when ever I get time. I did taste test and was not bad, it was sweet alcohol and the dry hop was there very drinkable and I think just might bee good with some time.

    Anyone having success with Nottingham dry yeast?

    I use notty on a lot of my brews. I usually boil about a cup of water with a good squeeze of honey during the boil. Then let it cool down to below 80 and pour in yeast and cover with foil. By the time I pitch it has usually started with about 2-3 inches of yeast foam on top.

    What is your brewing superstition/ritual?

    I get the grains steeping and buckets sanitizing with the wort chiller sitting in it and all the hoses air locks exc. Then pour homebrew take some pics and send them to some friends out of state. Kinda like haha see what your missing out on.
