What to do with sanke spears/valves?

Don't smash the end. Cut a slot in it and then get a small piece of stainless, drill some holes in it and slide it in the slot. I welded mine but you could always drill it and bolt the paddle to the handle with stainless bolts.

    My set up so far...

The control panel box is coming along. Just got my stainless coil yesterday. I can't wait to brew on this new rig!

Stainless coil. Not a DIY but...

I have threaded couplings welded in my keggle so I just threaded mine in from the inside and ball valve on the outside.

Stainless coil. Not a DIY but...

Stainlessbrewing.com. Yes, that's exactly what I'm going to use it for. I'm telling you, even though I was expecting it, pulling it out of the box and seeing it in all it's glory...great feeling. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Stainless coil. Not a DIY but...

$123.62 including shipping and the two compression fittings.

Stainless coil. Not a DIY but...

I thought the same thing as I lifted it out of the box. It's 1/2"x 40'. Wanted to do 50' but my welded fittings were only 7.5" apart.

Stainless coil. Not a DIY but...

Just wanted to tell everyone that Stainless brewing are some great people to do business with. I know Zach probably got tired of writing back to me to find a solution but he did it and delivered a great product. Even the fittings are top notch!

    DISS oxygen outlet adapter

You don't need a clamp with them (especially if you use the right tubing).

    DISS oxygen outlet adapter

Didn't get a PM. Resend and we'll work something out.

    DISS oxygen outlet adapter

If you need one (and want to pay the shipping) I can send you a couple. I have the green plastic (which should last a LONG time unless you abuse the crap out of it) or the aluminum ones that will fit if you remove the current DISS fitting.

    DISS oxygen outlet adapter

DISS= diameter index safety system. We use them in the medical field to make sure oxygen stays with oxygen and NOT the other medical gases that we use throughout the hospital (ie. CA, heliox, NO, etc). Each fitting has a different diameter so they won't fit in other outlets. I'm pretty sure I...

Chugger Pumps - Military Veteran Endorsed

I was actually leaning on going with March pumps but because of this thread and being a veteran myself, I'll be ordering 2 chugger pumps. I think I may have gotten a march or two for Xmas but they'll be sent back. You can't turn your back on a company that supports our troops!

    My electric brewery build

Would you need the PID on/off lights? Wouldn't you know if they were on or off if the display was lit up? I know it's only $10 in lights but sometimes less is more.

    Newbie keg question

Why do you add priming sugar to a keg? You don't need it. You rack into the keg, put pressure on it, let it sit with pressure and it carbs itself. You don't need the priming sugar to do the work anymore. Plus, you don't have all the sediment to contend with.

    My set up so far...

Thanks Steber. My wife had the idea of using reclaimed lumber to cover the new pine 2x4s. Of course I didn't have a problem with it but she didn't know that 100 year old beech wood was more expensive than new standard lumber. She was shocked when I told her how much I had to pay. Now I just need...

    My set up so far...

Here is my set up so far. I have all the ball valves and the 1" element lock must are welded to the back of the HLT and BK. Have my birdman false bottom and dip tube in the Mash tun. It's a long slow process but I'm getting there.

    My first keggle

Your post makes me feel a lot better. My sight glass started showing at 3 gallons too. Looks great.

Anyone know how to get the black handles to stop rubbing off black marks on your hands?

Bad News Brewery - Control Panel

Are you saving any space by using all (mostly) DIN products? Seems like if your doing a Kal clone it would be quite a bit of difference space wise using DIN mount.
