    keggle dip tube/false bottom

That's why with the jaybird false bottom they have a reverse hinge. I built my entire system (including fabricating my own box for the control panel) but sometimes you just have to buy what's there and focus your attention on other things. Use the Sanke spears for mash paddle handles but the...

    keggle dip tube/false bottom

The dip tube extends down through the false bottom and leaves maybe a 1/16" between the end of the dip tube and bottom of the keg

If save myself a bunch of headaches and just buy one from Jaybird.

    Auber RTD wires

Has anyone extended their Auber RTD wires, if so have they given you any trouble? Mine are about 6 ft long and they need to be about 10 ft.

    Cal clone progress

This is just the front panel. This is just two coats of Danish oil. The difference is amazing. Very easy to apply too. Just use a foam brush. No wiping or anything.

    Cal clone progress

Sorry about the condensation. My camera doesn't like going from the AC house to the garage when it's 95 degrees outside

    Cal clone progress

I built the enclosure myself. Since I didn't have to worry about placing it close to the kettles I didn't have to worry about it being waterproof. It's made out of 1/8 aluminum bent on a press then painted with automotive paint and clear coat.

    Cal clone progress

It's reclaimed beech wood. I put 2 coats of Danish oil (natural color) and 3 coats of polyurethane. It's amazing the grain and look of the wood. No sanding or anything. Ran it through the planer and it looks incredible.

    Cal clone progress

Yeah I can never remember if its with a C or K. I always have to go to his site and look and apparently I guessed wrong when I wrote this. Lol

    Cal clone progress

Pretty much finished with the brewery. Waiting on the enclosure for my counterflow chiller. Decided to make a stainless case for the chiller so that it fits in more on the stand than just a black rubber coil.

    Control Panel or Parts

I have a completed Kal clone. 240Vac 30 amp. Almost exactly like theelectricbrewery.com control panel except with a couple upgrades (upgraded power supplies instead of doorbell transformers, 12 gauge wire instead of 14 gauge). Asking $2000.

    Control panel pricing/e-brewery help

Finishing up my clone now and I have to say that just buying the kit is probably the way to go. I thought in the beginning I'd save a ton of money parting my own out but it just doesn't happen. Plus the time savings trying to find everything at a reasonable price is killer. I even ended up...

    Cal clone progress

I think it's turning out pretty close to Cal's. not that it's exact but that's why it's a "clone", right?

    PID Error - orAL -343

Oral 50 maybe? That's the error I got on power up with no probe attached.

It's not stainless, it's aluminum. Made completely by hand.

    Hoppo's E-Brewery Build

They should put a warning on those things. My "accident" happened in 2001 and my finger is still lop sided (the drywall was straight as an arrow though). Your right, it builds character and I bet you never have it happen again. Every time I touch that square I move my fingers to the middle.

    Hoppo's E-Brewery Build

Oh I feel your pain. I've been there done that. I had my finger hanging over the side of a T-square while cutting a piece of drywall and WHACK!!! Tip came right off. Just like you said, nail and all. It's amazing how sharp those little blades are!

What to do with sanke spears/valves?

Yeah, yours are grade A but like you said, there are a lot of people out there that would love to have them.
