Nothing like catching a good ol buzz from homebrew. Had maybe only 6 err 8 irish reds and drinking them quick, because well I aint got $hit to do tonight. But there really is something about actually feeling your work that makes it all worth wild. :tank:

    Size of Flask for Starter

I use a 1L flask. It works pretty well IF you have a stirplate. With a stirplate you can take 100bil yeast cells and with a 1 stage 1 L starter you can get it up to 225bil yeast cells which should be good for up to and around a 1.065 OG If you step it up once you can get about 350bil cells which...

    Brew pot

I have a glass cooktop stove and I use a alum 8gal pot. I do full boils, it takes a little bit to heat up but it beats brewing outside in the winter in new england.

    New aluminum stockpot!

Ok, so here comes another ss vs alum thread. I have to put my 2c in. I use a 8gal alum kettle that i got from amazon for $29 shipped. Nothing burns on the bottom and you know what thin means? It means it heats up and coold down faster. Thats not a problem with me. My full boils taste great. I...

    I hate asking but...

Was thinking about making 2 coolers for fly sparging but money and space is tight so im thinking about just making a mash tun and batch sparging for now.
