    I de stemmed them and froze them. Then a day or two before I added them I let them thaw in the fridge. After they thawed I crushed them with the pit still in then dumped them in.

    I've had a Cherry going I put 5lbs in first 3 weeks and I went do a secondary and it had theses little white mold looking patches. I racked it anyway trying to avoid them. I bottled it today and it had more patches in it. I'm hoping its just mold from the cherries floating. Here it is:

    I really like Modelo Especial but all I can find is Negra clones. I know its similar to any other light lager but does anybody have any suggestions? I like Tecate also but its not quite the same.

    Steeping Grains Without Using Muslin Grain Bag?

    I started using my spoon to loosen up the grain bag by putting the spoon under the bag and letting the grains droop over the spoon.     Yea the secondary was lower. It was a pain getting enough tube into the small 1 gallon jug and pulling it out enough to get a siphon going. Thanks for the help.

    I've had the Ethiopian mead in a fermentation bucket for a little less than 3 weeks and I plan on cold crashing it for another two weeks in the same bucket.
