    You know your SCREWED!

One of my favorite past times as well. The funny thing is that sometimes she KNOWS I'm saying something (or not saying something) just to piss her off but she still lets it get to her. Example: SWMBO: I love you! AHU: Thanks! . . . a moment of silence . . . SWMBO: C'mon, you have to say...

    You know your SCREWED!

S**t, I could camp out in this thread all day. Only got 5 min till off work though . . . will put some thought into it for tomorrow. One time I almost got screwed because she was nagging me about all the housework I DON'T do. So I reminded her that I do all the yard work, cut fire wood, fix...

    whats up with Texas???

No no no, "Texans" will do just fine. It's kinda like the phrase "Nascar fans" - literal, but sufficently derogatory in its own right. :D AHU

Beer store sampler 6 pack I bought

I had the Bigfoot this weekend and it was awesome. The only other barley wine I've had the pleasure of meeting was from Full Sail and I was very disappointed. But I thought I'd give the style another try and I'm glad I did. Inspires an attempt at homebrewed barleywine . . . AHU

    Me bleedin' 'ops won't sink!

If you figure out how to get that thing into your carboy, let me know. ;) The only ones I've seen are about 3" in diameter.

    top 5 rock band tambourine players . . .

It's so funny that you bring that up. I just performed an anti-war statement dance after dinner at my parents-in-law's house this weekend. I think it started to get a little weird for them after the first half hour, but when they saw how I could pinch my butt cheeks into a caricature of Donald...

    top 5 rock band tambourine players . . .

How 'bout a jug player thread? Or kazoo? Bagpipes? I seem to remember some bagpipes in at least one AC/DC song. Her name was Donna Jean Godchaux and she was not only good with a tambourine but had a helluva set of lungs on her too. She could belt'em out . . . and she was pretty good...

The title for this thread is so misleading . . . what a disappointment. ;) AHU

    Bachelor ESB . . .

After weeks of searching (not locally available yet and a couple stores in Portland were sold out) I finally stumbled onto a sixer of Deschutes new Bachelor ESB. Another outstanding addition to the Deschutes line up! This further reinforces the special place in my heart for the Deschutes...

Okay, just kidding. I just wasn't sure if this theme had been played out yet or not. Happy Monday everybody! ;) AHU :rockin:

My first REAL attempt at a label

"Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase! It means "no worries" for the rest of your days!" Shouldn't that be Pumbaa's label? ;) As far as quality goes, your label looks top notch. But I'd personally go for a more fierce looking lion. Just my tastes though - if you like it's money. AHU

    Bleach

Yeah, my collection is getting up there. I probably have enough for three 5 gal. batches. Problem is I always give a few away from every batch and those bottle have to be replaced. AHU

    TSP and plastic?

To clarify, I'm not using Sodium Hydroxide. It's just plain old Trisodium Phosphate. Nevertheless, I am following all safety precautions on the label. Thanks for tips!

    5 best american breweries

Too hard to say . . . the list evolves over time for me. I would have to say though that no matter what Deschutes and Bridgeport will always be in my top five. AHU

    TSP and plastic?

I bought some used carboys that were pretty filthy. Previous owner made wine and they had the wine equivalent of krausen rings at the top and some kind of white mineral-looking deposit at the bottom. I tried soaking with water, bleach water, iodophor water, star-san water (pretty much every...

    Bleach

Heh heh - know what I use to get labels off my bottles? BLEACH! I have no idea what the concentration is. I just make it strong and soak my bottles for about a week. As previously stated by others, you gotta rinse them multiple times when your done but it's not so bad considering you only...

    apricot wheat beer

You will either need a 6.5 gal. secondary or a blow off hose then because the krausen needs someplace to go. That is unless your batch is smaller than 5 gal. AHU

    This forum is laid back

Ha ha! I just used that smiley in a different thread and was thinking about how much I liked it! Lennon would not approve of your lack of tolerance. :rockin: :rockin: :rockin: :rockin: Hey, I just noticed if you line'em all up they do the wave. I think their waving at you El P! Like so many...
