    Well.... Sold my bike *sniff*

You know, the best way to cure that remorse is to buy another! :) I was torn between a new car or another bike (haven't had one for 3 years and it's been a long three years). I decided to get a new car but I'll prb pickup a cheap bike sometime soon.

Steam beer - How long before kegging?

Cold crashing is just getting your beer cold in a fridge so that the yeast falls out of suspension and to the bottom of your vessel (flocculate). Brite tank is the same thing as a secondary but some folks don't like to call it a secondary fermenter since you transfer your beer after...

    Philadelphia signs Vick

I really don't think that's gonna be the case. This city rewards work ethic and players that grind it out...they don't easily forgive or forget; ask Mitch Williams. T.O? Everyone let out a collective sigh of relief when that baggage left the city.

I am more pissed than ever at Pennsylvania liquor laws

$22 bucks a 6 for dead guy? Where in the world are you paying that? I can get 6ers of that for 10 bucks at every bar and take out shop around me. I agree that our state's laws and distribution methods need an overhaul but at the same time, the OP is a bit inaccurate. Retail...

    Philadelphia signs Vick

All the "man on the street" reactions on this morning's news are unanimously negative and no one outside of the Eagles organization seem to support this move. It's already in over-exposure mode here. I can't imagine that he is going to get the warm reception that Pedro just recently received.

Feedback on an AG Racer 5 Attempt

I think you're not really going to have a beer that resembles Racer 5 at all. Between all the wheat, oats, carapils and high mash temp, you're going way overboard in the pursuit for body. After all this, why even bother with sugar addition? I'd consider skipping the wheat & oats, dump the...

HELP! Screwed up my grain measurements...

I'd just roll with what you have or toss some additional 2 row into the mix *and sub extract accordingly* to level it out.

Sergio's World Beers - Over 1000 beers - Opening in Louisville, KY

It's just the nature of the beast and not really a business volume issue. They are bound to get stock on the shelves that just won't move. More likely than not, they aren't going to be sending that back or discounting it steep enough to unload it before too long so it will sit on the shelves...

Sergio's World Beers - Over 1000 beers - Opening in Louisville, KY

These places are fantastic when they first open. Course a couple years down the road when dozens upon dozens of those bottles don't move and sit on the shelves gathering dust and the beer goes south, the can be a crap shoot. Buy early and buy often!! :rockin:

    Lagunitas maximus IPA

I'd say that's quite possible. I've had this several times and when it's fairly fresh, it's got a nice dose of hop aroma and flavor to counterbalance the malt...as it ages, both diminish and it takes on more of a barley wine like profile some what like you describe.

    Magnetic Springs (Walmart) water analysis

FWIW, Wallyworld sources their water regionally so unless you live in the same region as Rick500, your water is going to come from somewhere else.

PA Residents....Let your voice be heard!

A redraft of a bill from 2007 has been re-introduced for the benefit of the Beer Distributors Assn (technically the Malt Beverage Distributors Association of PA) to push PA liquor laws further back into the stone age and eliminate beer sales in grocery and convenience stores using the "D"...

    Clogging counterflow chiller - help!

I have a ss braid->dip tube->ball valve in my kettle that screens out all the trub...however, it'll clog right up with pellet hops (which luckily isn't a problem for me since I use leaf). If I were using a lot of pellet, I'd definitely go with the hop taco.
