    Philly Beer Bar Raided....

1 time, for the opening of Resurrection Ale House, they had a keg of Resurrection Ale from Brewers Art in MD that was donated as a gift. They were warned by the PALCB for that.

    Philly Beer Bar Raided....

There is someone else on philly speaks & commenting on related blogs that has been hate-stalking the owners and these three establishments right before this happened and not the person in that thread. Either way, who ever this is will expose themselves sooner or later but it really doesn't...

    Philly Beer Bar Raided....

You've touched on a couple very interesting points that this situation raises: the impractical nature of the registered brands red tape & the fact that the police and PALCB allowed themselves to be used as tools in someone's personal vendetta against a couple and their establishments. Many of...

    Philly Beer Bar Raided....

FWIW, The 25 buck event is an upcoming (and still scheduled) benefit event for Haiti relief and an animal rescue fund. It generally pours arround the same basic prices of any big IIPA...it just kicks in no time flat. The more info that has come out about this, the more it looks like another...

    Chili pepper chocolate stout

I did a spiced chocolate chili pepper stout and added my chilies to the kettle in the last 5 minutes or so...in retrospect, I like the heat and flavor influence of beers that have the peppers added post-fermentation; it's a cleaner more upfront flavor than what I wound up with.

PLINY THE ELDER for your CVCA

You don't have any friends to give a couple six packs away to? Just sayin a small batch is minimal risk.

PLINY THE ELDER for your CVCA

Why not just brew a small 2.5-3 gallon batch of the CCVA so if you don't like it, you're not dealing with 5 gallons?

    Lancaster/Reading/Allentown PA grain group buy?

Thanks! Again, I can pickup for other folks and most likely meet up in the Lansdale/Doylestown/Warrington/New Hope general area with anyone if that would help folks if that helps out.

    Lancaster/Reading/Allentown PA grain group buy?

Anything around 10L is fine by me...that's usually the dark munich in most lines. If you're looking for another third on that C40, count me in! Thanks!

    Lancaster/Reading/Allentown PA grain group buy?

CMC 2 row and Best Malz Munich are both good for me. If you do any specialty splits, I could go for a share of light lov crystal and some wheat malt. Anyone in the general area to me that would want to participate, I could probably pick up and you could get your malt at my place.

    Lancaster/Reading/Allentown PA grain group buy?

I keep missing the other one...and no one replies to my posts in those threads anyway. :( I'd be down for a couple sacks (2 2row & 1 Munich) and splits on a few specialty grains if this goes forward.

South Jersey/Philly Group Buy... ROUND 2!

When is the anticipated pickup date? I'm on a on-call rotation and if I was able to know when the pickup should be, I'd be interested.

How to get Pliny the Elder over here...

No bottles of Pliny shipped to PA by RR. Many of the others, yes. If you're going to be 'round this area on the 28th I believe Younger and Elder are going to be making an appearance.

    Drilless level indicator

Don't really have to worry about bacteria in a scribe mark of a kettle that you're going to boil in. Fwiw, I put my marks on the outside w/ a sharpie and it's pretty easy to figure out where you are by eyeball...plus I use a story stick if I need an accurate read.

    Drilless level indicator

You could always just scribe volume marks/indicators on the inside of the kettle.
